Is there anything people usually wear to the concerts?

I know there are probaly a ton of things people wear to Prince's concerts seeing that he dresses so different himself, but I would like to know what the fans suggest wearing to the concerts, and if you have any pics, show them on your responses. Thanks once again for your responses!

You mistake being critical of Prince for not worshiping everything and having my own opinion on whether free cd's should count as sales.

I dont have any pics, but you are better off wearing.....t-shirt/tank top....comportable pants, skirt, etc. and TENNIS SHOES are a must. Girl my feet were on fire for both the Nashville and Memphis shows. The reason for the t-shirt, you are going to sweat your azz off! Makeup?? The second show I just did some mascara and lip gloss. The first time when the Nashville show was over, it looked like I didnt even try to put any makeup on. I was trying to look cut, but looked like crap when it was all over, lmao.

Hope this helps.

I just got my outfit for the show, and it's soooo cute! I got this adorable purple v-neck tank top with these irridescent beads around the neckline and these cute purple wedge sandals. I'm gonna wear it with a denim skirt. nod
'Cause your friends don't dance, and if they don't dance... well, they're no friends of mine.

What you wear is up to you really. Just be comfortable.. but I can sure tell you what NOT to wear.. lol
At the All State Arena last night this one girl was wearing this SUPER SUPER long dirty looking purple skirt.. then for a top she had taken what looked like a quilt or bed spread and sewed the Symbol on it... Oh MY GOSh... she looked So stupid..... EVERYONE in our section was pointing at her and making fun of her.
I think its cool to be creative.. but this girl just looked like a laughing stock..
Another larger women (and I have NOTHING against large women cause I am one) was wearing this Pea Soup Green sun type dress thing (long) no sleeves.
and this hat of the same color... she was dancing around the whole time before the show started... and sweating up a storm too.... and it really looked bad.... Some of the guys in my section were slamming her into the ground..
I know, I know.... that is NOT nice.... but come on people..... THINK when you leave the house.. You have to wonder if some people have MIRRORS in their houses.. lol
Another girl was there with NO bra on and bouncing all over the place.. and she had under arm sweat stains... ewwwww.
I was SO happy I was NOT sitting by her!!!!! WHEW!!!!!

Have fun, be clean, dress respectivley and use some Deoderant and you will be fine!!! wink

I was there - this was an interesting outfit. This green machine was dancing for the whole 1 hour & 15 minutes before Prince came out, but after he was on, I didn't see her dancing much. There were also a few other interesting outfits - a shiny pink one piece jumpsuit outfit (pants & top all in one piece), a guy in a purple silk suit. There was a big array of how people dressed - some dressed up, some casual. Lots of girls in heels, which I personally would not want to stand in for the whole show and lots of purple, but not a ton. I loved seeing what everyone was wearing.

eek Easy. Every time they lifted their arms you could see greenish yellow sweat stains.....
I have NO problem with the people being HEAVY.... just don't dress and act like a freak..... neutral

In the past, I've always dressed like I was going to a club or something. Tight pants, tight shirt, high heels, hair looking fierce, and some cool hat. But this time, since I am just now growing my hair out from chemo (it's about an inch and 1/2 long), I am wearing a black beaded head wrap thing (like Mary Sharon wore in Under the Cherry Moon-Girls and Boys scene). Plus, I'm not interested in looking hot and sexy. Cancer makes your priorities change. I want to have fun and wear stuff that I would never wear before. My sister-in-law gave me this shorts and jacket outfit about five years agao that is ALL sequins! I've never worn it since it is so eye catching. But now, I don't care. You only live once!! It is black silk, with an elaborate sequin design all over the whole thing. So I will be quite noticable (Prince better notice me anyway and call me on stage)! I'll be at the Joe on the 30th. See you all there!

A Prince CONCERT like I Have ALWAYS SAID is an EVENT! I ENJOY DRESSINg UP and Having the HAIR MATCH to the STYLE I FEEL for THAT NIGHT...I Have ALWAYS WORN WIGS and OSTENTATIOUS GET-UPS and FURS and JEWELS.... Sometimes I Do a RAP look,Sometimes I do a VANITY LOOK, Sometimes I do a GOTh Look and Sometimes a PUNK LOOK. Depends on My MOOd for the NIGHT... If I Could Dress like a BRAZILIAN TOPLESS DANCER I WOULD BUT well Prince DOESN"T ALLOW That.. I Would Do Pasties and HeadDress and THONGA with LUCITE HEELS.. But well Zel's into OUTRAGEOUS and well Prince's RELIGIOn doesn't ALLOW for Women being SEMI-NUDE at a SHOW!

dustysgirl, I know what you mean about cancer making your priorities change. Other life-altering illnesses do that as well, as I know firsthand.

Your sequined outfit sounds very cool and I just wanted to tell you that I'm sure you will be one of the most beautiful women there that night, and for reasons beyond and besides the physical.

Have a great time at the concert and I'll cross my fingers for you that Prince notices you! smile

This stressed me ever since I picked up my tickets and I saw "wear something purple." I really want to support that, and I would love to see the whole arena awash with purple, just like everyone in Calgary wearing their red during the hockey playoffs. It was an awesome sight. The eve of the concert is almost amongst me, and I got my outfit finalized just a week ago. It's tough to find guy's clothes that are purple! I searched Value Village, and many vintage clothes and discounts stores, as well as the hippest boutiques in the city, then I searched the web including e-bay. I saw an amazing puple gothic jacket, but it was way too pricey and when would I ever wear it again? Finally I tried a costume rentall house and that's when I hit it! I got a purple tail coat, and cream coloured tuxedo pants. Then I went and got a white fedora and I'm going to wear my cream Phat Farm boots. Look 4 the pic in a few days.
