Show was pumpin'!!!@Nassau Coliseum...7/20!!!

Prince rocked the house at Nassau Coliseum...I think he was in a freaky mood cause he melted everyone w/SHHHh...that one has to go down as a classic how he played this night and there were other moments too...Prince knows how to stir our emotions and get to us through his music, and with his guitar all by itself, he even showed us how it had a life of its own, so divine...but the crowd and the atmosphere was pumping! I think Prince was right when he said he could've gone all night!!! I made sure I got enough sleep the night before since on 7/14@MSG I was a liitle sleepy from work the night before, but man...Prince's mood was freaky, he had me thinking he was ready for to come out and start singing 'Darlin Nikki'!!!wink... I made sure I was energized, but really, I don't know if it was me or the show, but this one was surely AMAZING and I'm glad I finally got to see the 'Purple Rain' come down!...love...!!!

Yeah the show was good, but to me the best part was DOES NOT COMPUTE during the acoustic set. I never heard the song live before, so that was a treat. The MSG show was better too.

Can anyone give a setlist from Nassau? I thought I heard a "Crazy in Love" tease early on.
Controversy and DMSR were highlights for Me, as well as the acoustic "Water".

I have to admit that I didn't recognise Something In The Water at first when he started singing 'Some people say I got great legs' and wondered if it was a new track! (I havent listened to 1999 in full for so long now)

A great show, although with all those Purple Rain tracks he's in danger of becoming the Cabaret act he said he wouldn't become back in the 'Slave' days. I was disappointed he didn't play Nothing Compares 2 U in the encores as I believe he had been doing in many shows.

Still, he seemed pretty relaxed up there. And it was certainly the funniest show I've seen. Does he do that 'reading Rolling Stone' song break thing at every gig?

Great NPGMC seats - I couldn't complain. 2nd row, next to one of the four 'centre sections' and the one he seemed to be using to come in and out of his dressing room.

8.5/10
