The Prince Concert Etiquette Thread

just thought i'd post this up, since it seems like every concert review i've read on the .org mentions folks who basically act up/show off/whatever. maybe we could start up a list of etiquette-type things, 4 concerts, paisley parties, what-not. i know ya'll have encountered folks showin off and bein obnoxious at a show, so u might wanna work off of that....

ready? go. pimp

Well the only bad experience I had was at the Worcester HNR show. Some girl used her HUGE mammory glands to push up against me and get me outta her way. I woulda suffocated between them things if I didn't move. She eventually got on stage too. Bimbo.

EXACTLY my feelings, Dorothy Parker! I was sooooo embarrassed for that chick who was dance-stalking Prince up on stage. I was like, 'what the HELL is she doing, she's gonna scare him?!' She probably thought she was going to entice him with her not-exactly-great dancing and make him dance with her. Prince was amazingly patient with her and asked if she was okay and gave her a hug, but then he basically told her to get off the stage. Poor guy.....

well from my experience, it paid off being my shy self and NOT wanting the spotlight...

it was at the first celebration, the northrop show, last encore...he pointed at me and i froze, shaking my head "uh uh, no"....he nodded "uh huh, you"...we went back and 4th a few times, until my friend finally pushed me and somehow i got up on stage....mind u, it was so surreal, i was floating in and out of consciousness...i do remember dancing, 4 what seemed like an eternity...then turning around at one point and he was right in front of me dancing...we vibed 4 a few seconds and that's the last i remember, lol...but from what people tell me, i was the only one he got close 2 and was covered from head 2 toe, lol...

so, i rekkon it pays not 2 b a yamp.....giggle....

I don't know what I'd do if he called me up on stage to dance. I'd freeze, and probably say no. I just know I'd embarrass myself up there and I'd rather stay put and watch the show. I'm sure it's great fun and all, but it's just not Carrie Cee!!!

A good thing would be not to ask Prince stupid questions at the soundchecks. Please donot discuss money with Prince.
Someone asked Prince at one of the soundchecks if their would be a charge for the afterparty for members when everybody knows there is a charge. Of course he said no, and than I guess to make up for it he charged nonmembers 30 dollars in Chicago.Iam a member but in my opinuion, this is way too much for just an afterparty.
