Buffalo soundcheck, shoe, & aftershow!!!

What a Thursday night it was!! I'm from Rochester and I got down to Buffalo at 5:20 P.M. and went straight to the soundcheck. They let us in a little after 6:00 P.M. and we got our VIP passes for the afterparty right at the door. Inside the theatre the members sat in the 1st 5 to 6 rows and the band was reharsing the Work with Larry Graham on Bass (which Prince said that this was the 1st date of the toue Larry and his Wife flew in for because on Friday they had a day off from the tour and they we're all going somewhere). Then Prince took questions from us while he was waiting for Rhonda Smtih, which I think that some people we're too nervous to ask beacause there we're no more than 9 questions asked and then we we're invited on stage to sing background to The Last Decemeber and then the soundcheck was over around 6:55. Show started about 8:10 P.M. and it was great. I suggest everyone to go check the band Prince has now because they are hitting on all cylinders (also at the soundcheck Prince saind that this was his favorite tour). Show ended at 10:55 and they announced the afterparty which was right across the hall at another club. The set list was the same as the previous posts with the addition of Nothing Compares To You during the piano medley. Now!!!!! I got to the club at midnight and security at the door said that there will ba an aftershow. I got inside and the roadies we're setting up. Prince came on around 1:00 AM and funked the place right up. Here is the setlist:

Thank You For Letting Me Be Myself (slow funk version)
The Work
The Jam
Paisley Park (with 2 people from the audience)
Calhoun Square
Untitled (either new or a cover version I've never
heard)
The Ride
There was A Time (W. Maceo On Vocals which extended into a James Brown jam that lasted about 20 min.)
Sing A Simple Song

The aftershow was about 2 hrs. long with all the jams being extended funk workouts and Larry Graham was on bass for the 1st 3 songs. All in all it was a night I won't forget and I don't regret signing up for the music club at all!!!!

I'll do my best to fill in holes, but it's been a week

Thank You For Letting Me Be MySelf
The Work
The Jam
Beautiful Strange
Paisley Park
Calhoun Square
Untitled?
The Ride
Dolphin
There Was A Time
Sing A Simple Song. (Awesome rendition IMO)

Notes: Beautiful Strange may have been after Paisley Park, but I'm pretty sure it was before it.
Also, I don't remember there being a song between Calhoun Square and the Ride. I'm pretty sure that they segued into each other.

Therefore, take this with a grain of salt smile

He played a full version of all the songs that he has written himself except for Paisley Park. I can't say anything about the songs that were written by other people

He played Dolphin when Maceo left the stage for the second time.

Hey, How's it going! I was at the part of the line that was situated in front of that cloub's door. Yes that was me and I was saying that Prince only came to Rochester 1 time and that was in 1979 when he opened up for Rick James and that was the 1st major tour that Prince was on.His 2nd album was out at the time and they came to the Rochester War Memorial and Prince has never been back since.
