Yeah, I've never had a problem parking at the Joe...there is an parking lot next to the
arena, which seems to have more than enough space. There's a covered tunnel that will take you directly to the arena from the parking lot. Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Another option is to park at one of the many lots near Greektown, gamble away some money at the Greektown casino, grab a kebab or some Niki's Greek pizza, and take the PeopleMover (an automated elevated train that circles downtown Detroit) over to Joe Louis for the concert. Getting out of the Joe Louis garage after an event can take 4ever.

Yeah, there is ample parking as what everyone said. But if you have not been to Detroit, it can be tricky. I suspect you are taking I-75 North from Ohio into Detroit, that's cool.
There are a few routes to take to get some good parking. I would suggest taking I-375 (right by Comerica Park and Ford Field), which takes you right onto Jefferson. You can take Jefferson all the way across until you get to the M-10 (The Lodge) entrance ramp. Basically it's like a straight-away. Make sure you are in the left-hand lane and exit to the parking structure. Basically you will see Cobo Hall and Cobo Arena right in front of you while driving down Jefferson, then you head down a ramp (onto M-10), but before you make the right-curve, exit off and continue down Jefferson. Park in the parking structure. Then head on over to West Congress and spend some time from 5-7:30pm (or so) at THe Post. That is where all the Detroit Crawl Motor Babies will be hanging out before the show at The Joe. If you decide not to take Jefferson, still exit to your right onto I-375 near Ford Field and Comerica Park. Exit Lafayette and turn right. This is Greektown. Pretty mich one-way streets, but there is a casino parking garage and you can get your parking ticket validated inside Greektown casino. Greektown is no more than 2 miles from The Joe. Pretty sure Greektown will have a shuttle to the arena. Yeah, you can also take the PeopleMover, and it dumps you right in from of Cobo Hall. After the concert, party with The Crawl at Agave for a post-concert party. Drop TheDetroitCrawl.Org an emale and we will make sure you enjoy Detroit. See you at the end of the month.

You can walk from the Post Bar to the Joe. That's what we always do for Red Wings' games, and that's what I'm doing on the 30th.
