Well, I've read many reviews on previous shows, and I will not attempt the detail here in my take of Prince in Buffalo. First off, I haven't kept up with Prince since about the time when he changed his name, so I really didn't know about 70% of the songs he sang last night. I'm not going to attempt, then, to write a song list, but by looking at the others, I'd say it was about the same. The only difference I caught is that during his medley, he played Purple Rain almost completely. I don't think anyone minded too much.

So eventhough I didn't know many of the songs, HE STILL ROCKED THE FK OUT IN BUFFALO. Oh my! If you ever were a Prince fan, hell, if you ever appreciated any type of sound you've ever heard that even resembles music, you're going to just love this show. I was worried about not knowing much of his new music, but I tell ya, Prince and his band was so tight last night, they would have made anyone a Prince fan. And the drummer, GAWD! BAMF!!

Oh, one complaint, but it has nothing to do with Prince. I was sitting about four up from the last row on the bottom level, right in the center. So we were right in front of the sound people. Since everyone was on their feet, the ushers were trying to make some of us unfortunate back rowers sit down so the sound crew could see! Yeah, right! I'll get right on that. Sit down. I looked back at one of the the sound guys and he gave me a "Whatever dude, she's nutz, don't worry about it," look. Can you belive that?

About the LYNCH thing, that two song segment did seem to slow things down a bit, but either I was too far back to see or hear correctly, but it sure seemed like he reduced the effect a bit. I don't think he picked anyone out of the audience and re-named them. So, maybe like he changes up songs here and there, maybe he's changing his show? Na, it's probably just because I was in the back. Coming back with Rasberry Beret, picked everything right back up though. That Prince, he ain't stupid. I bet if I didn't know it was going to happen, I probably wouldn't have noticed.

Prince came out first with an all white outfit. I was kinda suprised not to see any color or high heels, but he looked very sharp. During the medly he wore a black or dark purple (I was in the back you know) suit with red cuffs. Slapped the hat on a few times!

My wife, not a Prince fanatic, said something I thought was funny just as he first came out. Just as he was prancing around on stage and playing like he's going to sing something, but doesn't. "Oh, he's a tease, he's such a tease, God I hate him, he's such a tease....I'm so in love with him right now."

If you're a Prince friggn' fanatic, you know you should go. But I particularly want to say to the old timers who may have lost touch, if you ever loved Prince, you should go to this show. You'll love this show for the same reasons you loved Prince for the first time. It's the same man and he's still laying down the same funky shit.
