That's funny because you both made the same mistakes about the death rates to argue for the same political bias.

Bullshit. It has nothing to do with political bias.

There is a difference between IFR and CFR.

What you calculate is the CFR and that currently is 0.78% for the US
The IFR is much lower and lies somewhere between 0.2% - 0.15% (as per John Ioannidis' paper)

Anyway...

There's a big difference if you look at CFR/IFR in different age ranges.

On global average, chance of an infected person younger than 50 yrs to die from/with Covid-19 is about 0.005%

In the Netherlands we have had 26 Covid-19 deaths of people younger than 40 and only 85 aged 40-50.
78% of the Covid-19 deaths in the Netherlands were over 80
57% of the Covid-19 deaths in the Netherlands exceeded the average life expectancy which is 80.4 years (men) 83.6 years (women)

The AVERAGE remaining life expectancy of ALL Covid-19 deaths in the Netherlands was less then 3 years

Meanwhile, the fascist Don Lemon calls for those that won't take the shot to be prevented from participating in society:

“Don’t get the vaccine. You can’t go to the supermarket. Don’t have the vaccine, can’t go to the ball game. Don’t have a vaccine, can’t go to work. You don’t have a vaccine, can’t come here. No shirt, no shoes, no service. I think that’s where we should be because we can’t to waste our breath on people that are just not going to change.”

Reminder that these people want women to have the unfettered choice to kill their unborn children but don't want you to have the choice regarding an experimental vaccine, that doesn't even provide immunity, for a virus that at best has a 2% kill rate.

There are many people who are against abortion who also advocate for vaccinations. They are the people who don't allow their political "side" to dictate their common sense. I think a lot of Americans on both sides of the aisle could learn something from them.

No vaccine provides 100% immunity. But the covid vaccine has been proven to prevent infection in most cases. And in cases where people have gotten Covid despite being vaccinated, they are mostly infected with a milder form of the disease.

2% of the world's population is still a massive number.

There's no reason not to be vaccinated. Unless you're afraid of a little prick. Which would be highly ironic for a lot of gun-toting right-wing Americans razz

That might be pushing it a bit too far. I do think that people who refuse a vaccine should be refused medical treatment if they get Covid though. They made their (death)bed, they should lie in it. At the very least vaccinated people should be given a priority. It would be a good way to deal with overcrowding in hospitals.

If a woman chooses to have an abortion, that’s her business. That choice does not affect me or my family in any way.

However, if someone with Covid comes into my orbit, and passes the virus onto me, and I possibly get infected and pass it on to my family and loved ones , that DOES affect more than just the person who chose not to be vaccinated or even wear masks

As much as I like being conflated with people that oppose all vaccines, I don't. Childhood diseases are proven killers and cripplers. The method is long proven and it's mostly safe (if the shots are spread out)

This one. It's a virus that is overblown, a vaccine that only tempers the effects and is an unproven technology with no long term testing. So yeah, never getting it.

Next time, just call me a queer for not wanting to get the vaccine. razz

lol, sure, a woman choosing to KILL HER UNBORN CHILD, has no effect on you or society

but me not wearing a piece of cloth on my face or getting an experimental vaccine, that doesn't actually stop the virus, is the equivalent of me killing your family members and an act worthy of being thrown out of society.

My body, my choice. Don't like it, hide in your home for the rest of your natural life. cool

You are correct: a woman making a choice to have an abortion has ABSOLUTELY NO EFFECT on me and my family and loved ones. And I would argue that her choice is actually BENEFICIAL to society as a whole, since in my view one of the very worst things is to bring an unwanted child into the world.

If you had cancer or a heart attack, I couldn’t care less . That’s your problem and I hope you get the right care. You have a highly infectious virus that is easily transmissible to others - especially if it’s me or my family- then YES, it is a problem and a concern for everyone

No effect on society, maybe even benefical since that would mean less people sucking up resources. We may lose the covid fight but we'll win the war on climate change wink

He's 100% a parody alt account. No doubt in my mind. Almost definitely operated by an extreme left-wing orger to highlight the stupidity of the extreme right. Look at his posts. Nobody would say those things and be serious about it. No point in arguing with him. The best thing to do is sit back and enjoy the comedy. The worst he could do is inspire an extreme right-wing orger to create an alt account to parody the extreme left. Although you have to question the mentality of someone who would go out of their way to troll a Prince fansite of all places.

I wonder if he's the same guy who pretended he was an old man and kept creating threads about how all music released after 1980 was shit?

You can just go see a broadway show. Nothing is stopping you besides your illogical and hysterical mind. It's always funny how women are the first ones to complain about "toxic masculinity" but are also the first ones to push those views to try to control men. But sure, I own guns and have a small pee-pee and am probably gay because I'm unvaccinated. That still doesn't change my mind hug

Oh and speaking of the Foo Fighters.

.

"Despite having made every effort to follow CDC Covid protocols and local laws, there has been a confirmed Covid-19 case within the Foo Fighters organization,” the Foo Fighters explained on Twitter. “Out of an abundance of caution and concern for the safety of the band, crew and most of all the fans, Saturday’s show at the Los Angeles Forum is being postponed to a later date. The new date will be announced shortly. Tickets for the July 17th date will be honored for the new date.”

.

What? How can you still catch covid if you are vaccinated and follow all CDC Covid protocols? Must be those shifty unvaccinated people shake Why can't we just put them in camps sad

Oh and speaking of the Foo Fighters.

This is why people think you're a troll alt account. Because nobody can actually be THAT stupid lol

No, all the accounts are real (even the ones I disagree) with.,., understand Pokeno, uh, I mean America1st, uh... “Strive”, yeah that’s it this month And yes, I cannot wait to see a Broadway show ! I hope that they keep the unvaccinated out (just like Springsteen and the Foo Fighters did), so we can enjoy the entertainment without masks and fear of being contaminated

I only have one account. If you have proof I have more than one account, post it. Or contact the mods so they can compare IP addresses. I've never concealed mine.

.

You can just go see a broadway show. Nothing is stopping you besides your illogical and hysterical mind. I've been wandering around my local area of Florida for a month with no masks and no precautions and I've yet to catch covid or drop dead (even though the Delta variant kills 99% of unvaccinated people, that's hard facts backed by....well it's just true you anti-science, anti-vax, russian bot) lol

Florida.... that has ONE FIFTH of all new Covid cases in America

See , I don’t care what YOU personally choose to do, and I’m not going to try to persuade you otherwise. If you die, you die.., that’s on you . Be just one less right wing phony religious bigot in America. As long as you don’t infect me or my family, you do you....

Having a sense of humor means I'm a troll? And what's the point of an alt account? I do everything on this one. Feel free to check my post history and see me talking about Prince in the normal forum. Why would I do that if I had a main account I was trying to keep clean?

That's funny because you both made the same mistakes about the death rates to argue for the same political bias.

Bullshit. It has nothing to do with political bias.

There is a difference between IFR and CFR.

What you calculate is the CFR and that currently is 0.78% for the US
The IFR is much lower and lies somewhere between 0.2% - 0.15% (as per John Ioannidis' paper)

.

No, what is funny is that you keep on making the same basic mathematical error and side with Strive when he made his with the lie that it is others who deaf and blind to facts.

.

If the CFR for the USA was only 0.78% for Covid 19, then this means with 627,230 deaths from covid 19 so far, that the USA has had more than 80 million confirmed cases, not 35 million.

.

If you are referring to the figures since Feb 2021, then the 172,489 deaths since then would mean that there has been 22 million confirmed cases since February this year, not 8,339,725.

.

And it gets worse: If the IFR is 0.15%, this means that out of a total population of 333 million, 418 million of these people have had Covid 19. It is basic maths 627,230 is 0.15% of 418,153,333.

.

You need to check your figures against reality, not the political line you have been pushing here since the methods to manage a pandemic inconvenienced you.
