I think one thing that you touched on here is that most of these folks don’t KNOW history... their knowledge of these things is lacking, so they don’t grasp the concept, let alone the breadth and depth of the issues some of the rest of us are raising. They might know little sound bites, or things fed to them on their favorite channels , but they know little of these matters.

Very true. They don’t want to hear an uncomfortable truth that may force them to question their conscience, so they dance around it with all kinds of bs to avoid the issue. The most hilarious characters are the ones who walk with that ‘slave master’ mentality, believing they have some authority to dictate or give advice to Black Americans how they should breathe, live, think, act, etc., as though it’s some damn privilege they think they have. That’s not showing us respect, it’s insulting. Unfortunately, that’s how f****d up some of them are. Deflection and denial may be their ‘mental comfort’ game, but I prefer not buying their bullSh*t’. [Edited 5/3/21 18:01pm]

I think what's happening is "informed ignorance" because I think certain people in this thread and people across America are fully aware of their hatred, mistrust and disdain for black people who "don't know their place" but when called out on it they deny it and use examples such as "Good White Christians feedin' the po' folk" all while DENYING stories such as the story that broke last week that there was a sheriff's deputy in Georgia who was arrested by the FBI for weapons dealing and he also got busted for sending text messages to white supremacists in California telling them that he was going to start arresting black people and charging them with felonies so that they can't vote. The text messages were filled with racial epithets as well. But according to people in this thread and across America it's just not about race.....even though I heard about this story it's not getting a lot of publicity. So there goes the theory that the things that happen to black people "get all the attention"...

Thank you, well said but yet they call us liars about voter suppression tactics, yet that sheriff you mentioned, who wanted to abuse his power to try and find a way to violate the rights of Black voters. No different from the racist GOP working to do the same. This isn’t the pre-60s, and people today will not stand for the bs. Thanks for proving that not every matter that affects the Black community, gets National attention, like the lie some whiners/complainers tried to sell.

At this point, I wouldn’t waste your good time giving some of those whiners any more attention.

"Race reductionism is ultimately a couple of things. One of them is a presumption that race as a category can explain social phenomena. The other is that every grievance, injustice, beef that in any way affects a person of color, or a person of non-color, can be reduced to race, or can be reduced causally to race or to racism. Is that clear?"

"Analyses of the problems facing African Americans continue to assume that racial inequality burdens all blacks more or less equally, and that proposals to reduce that inequality should therefore apply to the racial group as a whole. This shortsightedness has a real and pernicious impact on the material needs of poor and working-class blacks."

The 21st century racism is to continue to do things to disinfranchise while simultaneously deny it at the same time. There's a lot of mind fuckery going on. And yes that story about that sheriff didn't get a lot of attention so, as you said, it disproves this notion that the media "only covers a story if it happens to black people".

I'm seeing it across social media. It's like Derek Chauvin going to prison set off a lot of racists who are now trying to paint a narrative that they, in fact, are the "victims" and that "nobody cares about white lives"....yeah, in America....

Of course it was just our imagination and there wasn't enough "evidence" that is was happening....the vitriol and bitterness that has exploded across social media since the Chauvin trial has been very telling. I'm even seeing racist comments on LinkedIn of all places!

Adolph Reed was on the Bad Faith podcast and said he never talks to woke racialists because it is like trying to talk to the Proud Boys or Qanon. lol. So true. Note how circular the logic is with our friends here. I love their souls but man do they not listen. He talks to people of color and just asks them questions about health care, their jobs, wages, housing. They respond well.

Another guest, also black, said that Medicare For All is the black agenda. Yep.

Yes, I didn’t listen to the Great White Father (and his selection of obscure Negro pontificators), and instead, made up my own mind about how to view issues that impact my life and those of my family and friends and community...

I think 2Freaky and the other triggered "racialists" on the Org and across America should use "Strange Relationship" as their theme song for their obsession with race....Baby I just can't stand to see you happy, more than that, I hate to see you sad. Honey if you left me I just might do something rash....what's this strange relationship, ship, ship....dooo dooo dooo LOL

I have absolutely no problem with diversity of opinions and debating different viewpoints. I welcome it.

I DO have a problem with people putting forth lies, spin, nonsense, and bigotry- both overt and covert. And I have issues with trolls, and those who use multiple accounts and fake personas. And I’m NOT afraid to call that out.

So anybody who wants to rationally and intelligently discuss the issues, I’m willing to have a civil conversation with them. But if people just want to troll, or constantly rehash the past or Cherry-pick statements out of context, I say “Get the fuck outta here!”

If we could only just know our place as "the help" the "entertainment" and just "shut up and dribble" then all of this trouble would just disappear.....until then, there's going to be a lot of privilege denial and bullying. Mirroring tactics. The main ones who have said race doesn't matter are now claiming to be victims of "reverse racism" The main ones complaining about opinions not be tolerated don't tolerate FACTS and personal experiences being shared by those who live it.....we're supposed to concede that Noam Chomsky is the authority of racism discourse but the experiences of those who live it every damn day are somehow inferior.

I have never held any such belief much less voice such... But someone here has used identity based slurs and defended their use by some people.

I am very open to all kinds of people. I rather people agree with me but when they do not I do not use slurs to attack them over it.

I would say between the ones taking part in this topic that I am much less likely to make things personal...but that is just who I am. I can disagree with passion without name calling...
