Speaking of “not being perfect “, I remember a guy who used to be called Talk2bill before he was permanently banned from this site. Then he was somehow let back on using the name SlamGlam, and was AGAIN permanently banned from this site.

Apparently he begged like a dog, and was allowed to return... if only I could remember his current name...

What is the expression about “stones and glass houses “

Some wish to derail threads with personal attacks and attempts to discredit
To which I say “Turnabout is fair play “

Now I wasted enough of my time on this bullshit

He has a right to his opinion, and the rest of us have the right to ours. He has no hierarchy over me or 2E or any other Black Americans, or anyone actually.

It’s just that he says what you want to hear

I agree and hear you... time for both of us to stop wasting our ‘good time and energy’ discussing a reality some here are ‘quick’ to berate and dismiss. Is that new here that they same ones do that though? Absolutely not. SSDD. Smh.

If anyone wants to start a topic about slavery throughout the world and throughout history, they are free to do so

But I believe THIS thread is about America, and it’s history

Problem is, if someone were to start a thread about slavery today in Qatar, the thread would sink like the Titanic because folks here are only interested in talking about America.

I would be honest and say I don’t know enough about that subject to have a valid opinion on it, outside of the general view that any and all slavery is bad.

Personally, I stick to subjects I have knowledge of, and don’t usually pontificate on issues I know little or nothing about. But that’s just me...

Dude, DO NOT force me to make s--t pop off in the org by mentioning the infamous "One Drop Rule" that is still in effect in the USA southern region [especially Louisiana] today! no no no! I trying very hard to be nice here! wink

.

Now seriously, if you really want to know the ethnic background of any individual, just looking at the nose. As my grandmother used to say, "The Nose Don't Lie". And I knew immediately from that video in your post that the young woman is light skinned black. Have not for her African shaped nose being so obvious, she would have been classified as a "quadroon" back in the old-school New Orleans.

Very true...
You really can’t debate or discuss with those who are completely dogmatic and blinded by their own extremism.
These are folks who see everything in “Black or White “ (no pun intended). I prefer to explore the “Grey” areas

I can understand that. But the thing is, this whole BLM thing has blown over to Europe. And now everybody is talking about racism in Europe too. That's not a bad thing. What is, in my opinion, a bad thing is that everybody is talking about things that are going on in America while no one is talking about things that are going wrong in the rest of the world. Think about Russia. When Navalny is in prison, there are no worldwide protests. When people in Hong Kong are protesting against the Chinese government, there are no worldwide protests. Yet when George Floyd was killed, all of a sudden, there were demonstrations everywhere.
O tempora! O mores!

Creepy Joe Biden not only eulogized known KKK Recriuter Robert Byrd at Byrd's funeral, but Biden often referred to Byrd as his "mentor"...which in comparison, makes Donald Trump look like John F Kennedy ...and this is the "man" that had spinelss Van Jones crying tears of joy when he won the presidential election?...Van Jones is the real life Samuel L. Jackson character from Django.

he may or may not have been a "Grand Wizard", but he was an influential member and part of the KKK leadership structure, and a confirmed recruiter..so to know that the current so called "president" referred to him as a mentor, should be frightening, and at least disconcerting, to all so called "Americans" who are not anglo-saxons

So we're told that we (and by extension any and all Black Americans- and I assume other minorites as well-) are just pretending to be "victims".

And we're told that what we believe were "race" issues were really "class" issues and that we must be confused not to be able to tell the difference.

So when I was younger , and White italian and Irish kids would come up to me and other people we knew and told us "Get out of our neighborhood you fucking niggers", we must have misheard them because what they REALLY said was "Get out of our neighborhood, you middle class guy !"

And all the times I have been followed in stores, that was only because I possess a college degree...and NO OTHER reason

And wheen one of my best friends - who is a millionare- gets stopped by the cops time and time again in his nice car- that's ONLY because the cops stop EVERY millionare who drives a fancy, whatever their race...

Yes, this is what they think we SHOULD believe
