not even to protect the Black girl, she was trying to slash her throat?

what about the punk dude, kicking the other girl in the head?

.

Exactly. nod That white male cop saved a black female life!

.

But in fairness, 4 gunshots were not necessary [IMO] to take down Ma'Khia with a knife. One gunshot should have been enough to get it done. Nonetheless, he should not be terminated from his career in law enforcement.

Every law enforcement agency teaches a minimum of 2 or 3, so 4 totally acceptable amount.

I’d like to see how any of this dismiss the fact that other measures could have been taken or that ‘4’ bullets was necessary to kill her. And using examples of oh ‘ if it was a Black cop facing a Black suspect or Black cop who killed Ma’Khia,’ how does any of that solidifies that ‘4’ bullets was necessary to kill her? Some of you are resorting to the usual, similar ‘what about Black-on-Black crime’ or ‘what about if shooter/ victim was Black’ tactic, to justify the cop using ‘4’ bullets to kill her, when the big question is ‘Why 4 bullets?’ to stop her. Why so many times, when that may not have been necessary to de-escalate the situation.

I’m pretty sure there are many examples of how cops used other measures of someone threatening another’s life or a mental health case, where they used other measures, before resorting to ‘shoot to kill’ immediately as the final choice. Again, prove 4 bullets was necessary to stop her.

I guess you are new to the internet so here's a tip:
There are 'search engines' on the internet where you can type in words and if you click 'search' they will look for anything relating to what you typed.
For example: go to google.com and type in 'cops disarm knife wielding man' now I know you won't find presise comparable examples of some extremely dangerous girl wielding a death defying potato slicer knife so you'll probably dismis them but please do note the examples of people wielding and attacking with swords, daggers and even machetes and still not being shot but disarmed without anyone needlesly being murdered by a cop.

So you know of no examples? And yes sometimes cops have been able to disarm a.peeson with a weapon. Which is good... It would have great if that happened here...but still it was a perfectly justified use of force. And your attempt to down play the weapon destroys your credibility on this discussion.

No worries. He is not an authorized official of any kind to justify that shooting, so I wouldn’t take his comments as though it’s written in gold, because his opinion has no value over anyone else’s here about the situation.

Actually mine does have more weight than some others...if for no other reason because I am correct. Do you have any formal weapons training or training how ever old on use of force?

Everybody wing chun tonight...what wing chun? Some make believe scan of a so called martial art?

And what do you mean you were in a draft? I am not that old. But I did my time active duty. If you served I thank you for that.

But it is not a us thing the formally called double tap is standard.

I don’t care what training you had years ago. Did you work in a non-military ‘city’ police department?

Still waiting for the reason 4 bullets was needed to prevent her from stabbing the other girl. Using different police encounters does not answer the question. It’s just dancing around the question, because no one here can give a valid answer.

White cops would have open fired after asked Matthew to drop the knife the first and only time. Just being honest.

if that was that man's house (by any legal measure) and the cops just took the word of some neighbor (and even if it wasn't I am not at all conviced) then I do not see a justifed use of force.

2 is the minimum... the only issue is the more shots fired the more likely a stay bullet could hit someone else.

Again, since some of you have made it clear, that you support the cop killing Ma’Khia, explain the justification why it took ‘4’ bullets to murder someone with a kitchen to supposedly, but didn’t stab the person she approached with the knife. I’m pretty sure during the investigation this will be questioned why the police office shot her down with ‘4’ bullets, which seems to have been excessive, because shooting her 4 times, was intent to kill, not to de-escalate the situation. No taser used to de-escalate.

I am not sure what you mean by supporting the cop killing her. All I see is a justified use of deadly force. making up stuff and second guessing as to what else he could have done in the fraction of a second he had stop someone from getting stabbed.

And this is not murder: and you may never grasp why, but you best hope the cop is not charged much less convicted for this shooting. (but sadly there are charges pending for the similarly justify shooting of Rayshard Brooks)

And again you seem to down play MaKaia's attacks... saying it is small knife... yeah maybe it was not very big but if you got stuck with one you would treat it as if it was a deadly attack.

and Makhia was not just approaching her with a knife or as someone said "holding it twords" her... she was clearly going to stab her!

What happened to "believe your eyes"? What happened to "Believe the video"? (same as the video of Rayshard Brook). Oh! I know! That is only a thing when it suites your agenda.

The question of 2 shots or 4? Is not really a valid one as 2 to 4 is as well justified as 1.

Fact is there was no time to use a taser or pepper spray... there was no time to deescalate... what we have is a 100% by the book use of force...

you must know when you use cases like this one (or Rayshard Brooks) as an example of BLM type unjustified killing you lose credibility among honest people with sympathies towards the BLM clause (such as myself).

only a vile and racist bigot, or a self-hating black or biracial person, would support or defend these excessive and barbaric police actions...and those who do, have clearly exposed themselves as such

They are out there, for sure

so all people of color MUST agree with you? Wow! (and as I schooled otheres: this is not a case by any reach of excessive or barbaric police actions, the only one acting like that were Makhia and that trash kicking the Makhia's first victim)

and no 4 shots is not excessive. I can see where some may think it was...but if 4 is "barbaric" what is 3 or 2? if he shot her once and she still died would you be all mad?

take off your mask before you address me...i dont willingly exchange ideas, beliefs and thoughts with aliases and known trolling bigots...nor do i answer their ridiculous questions...besides, my position has been made quite clear.

yeah so calling a black person a name for not agreeing with you is okay? and what do you mean my mask? and Aliases? and I neither troll nor post bigoted content... but I would suggest calling a person of color a name for not agreeing with you was bigoted.

I do not agree that in this case the shooting was at all as you described--none of my reason have anything to do with race... can you say the same (and do so without a straw man?)

He never called anyone a name, what you do is try to find reasons to take certain orgers comments out of context, to have a reason to complain, when they don’t agree with you. There have been so many racist and disgusting comments all over social media about the teen killed by the cop, and anger towards those asking if the cop could have taken a different approach, like using a taser, but the question many are asking is why ‘4’ bullets to take her down. That was excessive and a ‘shoot to kill’ immediate response. No one here is defending her action to try and stab anyone, the question is why not a taser/ instead of 4 bullets. At this point, there’s no more to say to you on this, because it will just be your usual ‘going in circles trying to find a reason to make false accusations’ response. You have a good day.
