"Society" isnt falling apart...its just a certain segment of society displaying the same inherent barbaric behavior theyve always displayed...nothing new or revelatory happening...they cant help themselves...murder and lie...murder and lie..same shit, different diaper.

Naw, he totally explained it as Navaro understood it at the end

i dont what country or culture youre from, or what books you read...but in our culture in this country, an Uncle Tom is a black man considered to be excessively obedient or servile to white people.
a person regarded as betraying their cultural or social allegiance.

so if you have some other meaning for what an Uncle Tom in America is, let me know...and who is the author of said book?...a white man?...because there is only one meaning for that term in the culture of us so called black people whose ancestors arrived here as slaves...we dont need a book to define that...so whats your definition, Buddy?...because different words have different meanings for the same terms,in America depending on culture and race and the era theyre used...like the word gay used to mean happy now it means homosexual...pussy used to be a term for a cat...now its a vagina...dope was once heroin or even used to describe a stupid person...its now used as an adjective for something thats really good...so what is an Uncle Tom?.. im curious as to you answer on this

eh I'm American,
and I've read the book Uncle Tom's Cabin.
Uncle Tom was an African slave who helped the other slaves escape to freedom

.

It was a European woman abolishonist who wrote the book.

.

Ad Homenem attacks on a person who people don't like their opinions, doesn't negate who the person is or discount what the person said. The person you called an 'uncle tom' did a point by point factually explaination. Not an emotional one based on feelings.
.
He almost did a more serious version of comedian Chris Rock's vido How To Not Get You A--...

.

We actually had a discussion in this forum some years about the myth and reality of Uncle Tom. We broke it down back then.

She shot him in front of those officers. He’s dead. Try explaining that to his mother, aunt, girlfriend and son, that she meant to taser him.

One explanation: She was a poor officer and mistakenly grabbed the taser

Of course, a real answer of yes either of my questions could refute this - but then one would have to actually address the questions to so that.

There is your explanation - can you provided a real answer?

Well your question doesn’t make any sense, so others have to clarify for you.

The fact is, she shot and killed him, whether he was half-Black or Black or identified as either. The cop is responsible for his death, whether she thought she had the taser or not. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out.

If she was a surgeon, and performed surgery on the wrong side of a patient, because she read the notes to the patient’s procedure wrong, and said it was an accident, regardless the physician is responsible for the mistake. No excuses. She was a 25-year veteran who should have known by now, which side of her body, her taser and gun was on. No excuses.

EXACTLY!!

Latest update:

https://www.cnn.com/2021/...index.html

“A police officer who shot and killed a Black man in a Minneapolis suburb after a traffic stop has been arrested and charged with second-degree manslaughter in the case, authorities said Wednesday.”

(Edited for compliance)

“[Then-Police Chief Tim Gannon said Wright's death Sunday in Brooklyn Center appeared to be the result of Potter mistaking her gun for her Taser as Wright resisted arrest.

However, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension examined Potter's duty belt and found her handgun is holstered on the right side of her belt, while the Taser is on the left side, according to a news release from Orput's office.

Citing a criminal complaint, the release said the Taser is yellow with a black grip and is set in a straight-draw position, "meaning Potter would have to use her left hand to pull the Taser out of its holster."

Exactly, these people making excuses for these officers, which is why they’ve been used to getting away with it. Smh. Thank goodness for the people that stand up against the cowards thst don’t have the guts to call out bad cops. It will ‘always’ be the protesters against police brutality who will be the heroes that will force changes in police depts to happen. Not the ‘silent’ ones, who get mad at the protesters for having the courage to voice their disgust.

That term definitely has a different meaning today than back then. Today it refers to one who will jeopardize the respect and progress of one from its own race to appease one from another race, just to be accepted, no matter the expense it will cost the member of his/her own race.

An example, (which is odd that the character actually played the definition of a present/day ‘Uncle Tom’) is that ‘Stephen’ character in that movie ‘Django’, who kissed his masters’ ass for to appease the slave master, at the expense of the slave. He treated the Black slaves like shit, beating and degrading them, the same way the slave master did. He would agree with whatever insult and racist names the master called the Black slave. He was full of self-hstred, and that character was definitely trying hard to appease his master just to be accepted.

As far as Daunte Wright and Andrew Brown’s families, much strength and sympathy to them. Both lost their loved ones at the hands of police. 🌺
