8 People Killed in Atlanta-Area Massage Parlor Shootings This is sad. The attack on the Asian community is mind-boggling. One has to wonder if some people are taking the pandemic out on them, since the last president continued to blame China for the pandemic, and now there are some idiots attacking many in the Asian community because of that. Doesn’t make any sense that they are being attacked and blamed for it.
It reminds me of when 9/11 attack happened, and Muslims were being physically attacked the same way. My heart goes out to those in the Asian community who are being targeted by some of these sickos, and others caught in the middle of these attacks. We have to be better than this as a society. Glad they caught the suspect. https://www.nytimes.com/2...arlor.html 8 People Killed in Atlanta-Area Massage Parlor Shootings By Richard Fausset and Neil Vigdor Published March 16, 2021 Updated March 17, 2021, 5:37 a.m. “Six of the victims were Asian, the authorities said, raising fears that there may have been a racial motivation to the crimes.” ACWORTH, Ga. — “Eight people were shot to death at three massage parlors in the Atlanta area on Tuesday evening, the authorities said, raising fears that the crimes may have targeted people of Asian descent. Six of the people killed were Asian, and two were white, according to law enforcement officials. All but one were women. A suspect, identified as Robert Aaron Long, 21, of Woodstock, Ga., was captured in Crisp County, about 150 miles south of Atlanta, after a manhunt, said the authorities, who had earlier released a surveillance image of a suspect near a Hyundai Tucson outside one of the massage parlors.” (Click on link to continue reading) [Edited 3/17/21 5:43am] PRESIDENT BIDEN, VICE-PRESIDENT HARRIS ![]()

For what it's worth, he said the killings were not racially motivated. He said he killed them because he's a sex addict and they "tempted him". Either way, he's a fucking headcase who should be put down.

Sex addiction? I find it odd he chose Spas where he knew Asian employees worked there. Either he’s using the sex addiction as an excuse or he intentionally targeted Asians on a race-related basis. This country has had a string of attacks towards Asians, since the pandemic, so it would not be surprising if this is found to be a race/related crime. I think this crime will cause more fear for those in the Asian community regardless, because of the high rate of attacks against them for the past year, and this latest one that happened to be mainly Asian victims, who were murdered, even if it turns out it wasn’t race-related. On the other hand the killer is a real sicko for those murders. [Edited 3/17/21 13:22pm] PRESIDENT BIDEN, VICE-PRESIDENT HARRIS ![]()

There is a lighter sentence if it's not labeled a hate crime. Who knows what this person lawyer advised them on. I have questions that'll take time to get the information on. Time keeps on slipping into the future...

Yeah, I agree with everything you said. Except for the part about him not being unattractive. To me, he has the kind of face I'd like to smack.

it seems the same spokesperson shared racist content online, including pointing the finger at China for the ongoing coronavirus pandemic—the same vitriol advocates say has fueled a horrific surge in violence against Asian Americans. In a Facebook page associated with Capt. Jay Baker of the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office, several photos show the law enforcer was promoting T-shirts with the slogan “COVID-19 imported virus from CHY-NA.” “Place your order while they last,” Baker wrote with a smiley face on another March 30 photo that included the racist T-shirts. “Love my shirt,” Baker wrote in another post in April 2020. “Get yours while they last.'” The shirts appear to be printed by Deadline Appeal, owned by a former deputy sheriff from Cherokee County, and sold for $22. The store, which promotes fully customizable gear, also appears to print shirts for the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office Honor Guard, a “ceremonial unit, all volunteers, who represent not only the Sheriff's Office but also the county when participating in a variety of events,” according to a March 10 Instagram post. It’s sad that anyone would make excuses for him though. That spokesperson reminds me of the cops that took Dylan Roof for lunch after he assassinated 9 Black Americans in a church. :disbelief: This guy knew exactly what he was doing and targeting, as well as, planning which locations to enter. I’m glad it was his parents that called the police when they saw his pic on the news, before he made it to Florida to do more killings, as news reports stated that was his plan. Sheriff claiming it wasn’t a racial crime, but the killer went after mostly women of a specific race, and Asian-owned businesses, at 3 different spas, so regardless if the suspect claimed it was sexual, it was still gender-related, which is still possibly a hate crime. That crime just adds to the already fears of attacks against those in the Asian community. Also unfortunately, many of the attacks against the Asian community, are being committed by members of several racial groups. [Edited 3/17/21 18:41pm] PRESIDENT BIDEN, VICE-PRESIDENT HARRIS ![]()

He can also be both an incel and a racist. his attack could've been motivated by both mindsets. because most incels I've encountered are racists as well. "Like books and BLACK LIVES, Albums still MATTER."

We had a case of this recently in Toronto. The murderer claims women didn't like him, so he rented a van and drove it down one of the busiest streets in the city killing 10 people. His defence tried to use the "he is autistic" defence, but the judge (and public) didn't buy it. He is awaiting his sentence, and will be going to jail for a very long time. Good riddance to him.

i hate when they use that excuse. that's why people think autism is an insult and that we're assholes. but 100% get why women dont like incels, because they are assholes. I mean, they think women are 3rd class citicens. "Like books and BLACK LIVES, Albums still MATTER."
