No, I would not want him there. If I were Biden, I'd ban him or any of his cronies from attending and I'd also go on national tv to explain why. In fact, I don't trust Trump or his idiot, racists followers not to do something similar or worse on Jan 20th.

.

For entertainment purpose, I want Biden to demand Trump to acknowledge him, on national TV & the World Wide Web, as his new "Commander In Chief". wink

.

Then Trump can get on Air Force One for the last time and GTFO of Washington, DC once and for all & stay gone!

America gave Trump his eviction notice on 11/3/20, and now he’s the only president in U.S. history to be impeached twice.

Biden says Trump not attending the inauguration is "a good thing"

Washington, DC riots and Trump presidency news: Live updates

"I was told on the way over here, that he indicated he wasn't going to show up at the inauguration. One of the few things he and I have ever agreed on. It's a good thing, him not showing up," Biden said. "He has clearly demonstrated — he exceeded even my worst notions about him. He's been an embarrassment to the country, embarrassed around the world, not worthy to hold that office."

And trump joins another group of failures:

.

1974 Nixon did not attend Ford's extraordinary Inaurguration

.

1869 Andrew Johnson's personal hatred of Ulysses S Grant saw him not attend Grant's Inauguration

.

1829 John Quincy Adams did not attend Andrew Jackson's. No reason was given, although his father previously also did not.

.

1801 John Adams did not attend Thomas Jefferson's. This was the first Inaurguration where the incoming President was nominated by a different party (Washington was nominated by both the Federalists and the Democratic-Republicans).

Its sad that it's come to thinking this way in this country, but I would prefer he be at the inauguration. Not to punish him or anything like that, but to use as a human shield at the loci for a potential domestic terrorist attack by his fan club.

Well he certainly made quite a mess of his presidency and legacy. He managed to put a bigger stain on the Trump name. His niece must be shaking her head and saying ‘I told you so’. He will be remembered as the president who coerced his supporters to attack the Capitol. I wonder who would still want to do business with that family. Smh.

Yes, I heard many people say his niece was just bitter about the treatment of her dad and most of what she wrote was just speculation, but she nailed every aspect of Trump.

National Guard Bolsters Washington, D.C., Troop Levels to at Least 10,000

By Nancy A. Youssef

Updated Jan. 11, 2021 3:41 pm ET

The National Guard will increase the number of troops in Washington, D.C., to at least 10,000 by Saturday to bolster security in advance of next week’s presidential inauguration, the Guard’s top officer said.

Gen. Daniel R. Hokanson, who is in charge of the National Guard Bureau, said in a press briefing Monday that the troop levels could rise to 15,000. He didn’t specify which states the Guard members would come from, whether they would be armed or the details of their mission.

As predictable as rain.

He lost the election in 2016 and should never been allowed anywhere near the White House.

The Electoral College is a joke and now u can clearly see why.

I wonder where Trump is going to be in two or three years, what he and his family will be doing in the future. I actually feel a bit sorry for his youngest son.

And I wonder if he´ll be able to keep his ex-president benefits. Not that it matters to him....he´ll probably still have enough money for the next decades and enough money to pay for his own security but still.

I´m worried that his absence at the inauguration his followers will go amok there. I hope there´ll be enough security on that day.
