Get ready for a lot of punching left if the Dems lose their McConnell excuse. "I think people ought to know that we're anti-fascist, we're anti-violence, we're anti-racist and we're pro-creative. We're against ignorance."

A little bit of history on Senator Raphael Warnock. https://www.politico.com/...gia-455320 How Raphael Warnock fused Old and New South to win Georgia By MAYA KING and TERESA WILTZ 01/06/2021 09:11 AM EST “Raphael Warnock’s victory Tuesday night is historic, heralding a litany of firsts. In a Senate that remains almost solely the province of white men, he'll be the first Black Democrat from Georgia, the first Black Democrat from the South, the first Black pastor and only the second Black senator ever elected from a state below the Mason-Dixon line since Reconstruction. Warnock’s win is, ultimately, a tale of two Souths: the racial apartheid of the Jim Crow era South, post Reconstruction, where until just 55 years ago, the Black vote was poll taxed out of existence when it wasn’t crushed entirely, limited to a scant few. But out of that oppression, Black political power grew, despite grandfather clauses, property tests, secret ballots and impossible literacy exams. And that political power was firmly rooted in the Black church from whence Warnock sprang — specifically, Ebenezer Baptist Church, the storied congregation where Martin Luther King, Jr. was raised.” Always smile in the face of adversity. ![]() America gave Trump his eviction notice on 11/3/20, and now he’s the only president in U.S. history to be impeached twice.

No I mean the Dems lose their "we'd love to do something but McConnell stops us and we're powerless" excuse. I expect a lot of "now is not the time" and "we need to win back the people" instead of actually doing anything.

I’m wondering if Georgia is ramping up law enforcement there, once the race between Ossoff and Purdue is called. Especially if it is finalized that the Dems will control the Senate if Ossoff wins. What has to happen first, is to fix the problems that trump has created. How long that will take is going to be based on the damage that has been done.

Calls grow in Congress for Trump to be removed by impeachment or the 25th Amendment
A growing number of lawmakers -- including from Democratic leadership -- are calling for President Donald Trump to be removed from office either through impeachment or the 25th Amendment to the Constitution after a violent mob of Trump supporters stormed the US Capitol on Wednesday. The calls have come largely from Democrats so far, but at least one congressional Republican has joined in. GOP Rep. Adam Kinzinger of Illinois, a frequent critic of the President, has called for the 25th Amendment to be invoked, saying in a video message on Thursday, "the President must now relinquish control of the executive branch voluntarily or involuntarily.

https://www.cnn.com/polit...index.html Pelosi and her leadership team spoke last night about whether to push quick impeachment vote From CNN's Manu Raj “House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her leadership team spoke last night about whether to hold a quick impeachment vote, and the overwhelming sentiment was to move ahead, according to multiple sources. While there were some dissenters concerned that the move could be perceived as an overreach and turn off Trump supporters in their districts, the view among most top Democrats — including Pelosi — is that Trump should be held accountable for his actions. The full Democratic caucus will speak today at noon ET. Remember: Moving ahead with impeachment, of course, doesn’t mean Congress would be able to remove Trump from office. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell could let the clock run out and not hold an impeachment trial in his chamber given that Joe Biden will be President on Jan. 20. McConnell, sources said, hasn’t spoken to Trump for weeks — fallout from McConnell acknowledging Biden won the presidency in mid-December.” Always smile in the face of adversity. ![]() America gave Trump his eviction notice on 11/3/20, and now he’s the only president in U.S. history to be impeached twice.

Of course he would be gleeful..Trump is just like him. https://www.google.com/am...12055.html Putin Gleeful After Trumpsters’ Violent Insurrection Julia Davis January 8, 2021, 5:43 am “Russian President Vladimir Putin was practically glowing while leaving a Russian Orthodox Christmas Eve service this Wednesday. Speaking to state TV reporters, he gushed about “the anticipation of a miracle” that can get a person through any rough patch in their life. Putin wasn’t talking about the United States, of course, but he might as well have been: America’s outgoing president had just delivered the biggest Christmas present to the Kremlin imaginable by inciting a violent insurrection. Hundreds of Trump supporters descended upon the Capitol, launching a brazen attack that defiled the most precious symbol of U.S. democracy and attempting to overturn the outcome of an election in favor of their conspiracy -peddling idol. Russian state media had played its own part in amplifying Donald Trump’s baseless claims of electoral fraud and gleefully predicting that post-election violence would inevitably follow. “There will be blood,” asserted Russian lawmakers and state media talking heads, a prospect they considered to be “excellent.” Always smile in the face of adversity. ![]() America gave Trump his eviction notice on 11/3/20, and now he’s the only president in U.S. history to be impeached twice.

Of course this is not surprising. https://www.newsweek.com/...mp-1559897 Talk of Trump Family Pardons Swirls as Washington Debates Removing Trump BY JEFFERY MARTIN ON 1/08/21 AT 12:05 AM EST “Speculation that President Donald Trump would pardon his family swirled around Washington as Democrats threatened to impeach Trump if his Cabinet did not invoke the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office. Alleging that Trump is unfit for office after inciting a violent mob that attacked the U.S. Congress as it was certifying the election of Joe Biden as president, Democrats have demanded that Vice President Mike Pence exercise the 25th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. In his final days as president, Trump has issued a series of pardons and commutations to people he perceives as friends or allies. That list of pardons could extend to members of Trump's immediate family. Meanwhile, the New York Times reported that Trump has discussed pardoning himself, an act that would be legally dubious and has never been attempted by his predecessors. Bloomberg News also said Trump himself was a possible pardon target.” Always smile in the face of adversity. ![]() America gave Trump his eviction notice on 11/3/20, and now he’s the only president in U.S. history to be impeached twice.

Wishful thinking.
43% of the nation is super ignorant when it comes to social issues. No way that’s going to change any time soon. If anything, they are going to double down big time. Ben Shapiro is young and he is seeing big dollar signs right and a long prosperous career ahead. Same with that Hawley character. Ditto Tucker Carlson. There is way too much money to make on red states. Especially right now. . With Biden in office, Fox News ratings are going to skyrocket. It’s a good time to be in the GOP. They live off moments like this. They make way more money attacking a democratic administration than defending a sleazeball like Trump. They got patents on their faux outrage tactics.
