I said it to friends, and in another thread on here, and you are spot on. I believe he thought that Fox viewers would rally to his cause. Fox has the highest viewership in the country. There is a huge middle America base (as we can see from all those red states in the literal middle of the country well into the south) that watch Fox. used it as his mouthpiece and sounding board. His butt buddy Sean Hannity let him say whatever he wanted unchecked. He just sorta counted on viewers voting for him. And they did.

But plenty didn't. Many Republicans jumped ship and weren't blinded by his propaganda and lying. Then, when the press secretary or anyone else got on there, and got fact checked and cut off, it started to sting even more. His puppets were getting their strings cut on live television for lying. I mean, these are the days of "alternative facts." The fact that his people did get fact-checked (and on his favorite) made him angrier.

So now, of course, he'll lash out and try to overcome them with his own hate network. He may very well launch something. Who knows. I wouldn't doubt if he went after Wallace, Hannity, Ingraham, and anyone else on there. I doubt any Fox people will jump ship to join him. It's a sinking ship before it starts. In reality, as someone noted, it'll be a platform for Proud Boys, the KKK, and white supremacists in general. I wouldn't be surprised if pastors like Jim Bakker or lawyers like Jay Sekulow start signing up for air time. It probably would make Fox look either liberal and/or honest and/or sane.

It is amazing how some of the talent in reality TV shows get to think they are more important than the show.

Only a small number are lucky for a short period and then on "where are they now" shows. Most just disappear into oblivion as people move on to the next big thing.
