Supreme Court hearings must see television.

Forget the lies about Catholic bigotry, Amy Conehead Barrett's problem is she is a right wing nut who thinks moderate Obummercare is marxism.

She is a dangerous shit head. Forget Roe, what she supports is helping corporate America run us into actual fascism. You think we have gun nuts now just you wait.

All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!

There is nothing in her record that disqualifies her. Under a normal time line she should get 80+ votes. This shows how dishonest both sides are...not liking how she might rule is not a reason to attack her. But politics ruins everything.

Seems I was wrong and this is going to happen...I hope in the next few days they will all get over their own egos and pass something for covid.

Edit and there is no legit objection to her... Those that wanted Garland. I do not like the timing with the election so soon and covid...but she is a solid pick.

that joke was told a 1000 times befor her name was even announced. they did that with the last one too... oh someone said something happened but when or where she had no idea... that person that asked made a mockery of sexual assault.

My favorite part is how they took the opportunity to change the definition of "sexual preference" to include the word "offensive" because she said it. falloff

Good thing it wasn't offensive when Biden said it in May, or when Ruth Bader Ginsburg used the term in 2017. It's all about the timing!

So transparent... lol lol lol

I have a serious problem with the Republicans pushing this through. She does not have enough experience as a judge.

Her undergraduate degree was in English Lit (major) and her minor was in French.

She graduated from Notre Dame law school in 1997.

She spent two years as a judicial law clerk after law school, first for Judge Laurence Silberman of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit from 1997 to 1998, then for Justice Antonin Scalia of the U.S. Supreme Court from 1998 to 1999.

From 1999 to 2002, Barrett practiced law at Miller, Cassidy, Larroca & Lewin, a boutique law firm for litigation in Washington, D.C., that merged with the Houston, Texas-based law firm Baker Botts in 2001. (A boutique law firm is a collection of attorneys typically organized in a limited liability partnership or professional corporation specializing in a niche area of law practice.) While at Baker Botts, she worked on Bush v. Gore, the lawsuit that grew out of the 2000 United States presidential election, providing research and briefing assistance for Baker Botts's representation of George W. Bush.

Then she served as a visiting associate profressor and Fellow at George Washington University Law School for a year before returning to Notre Dame to be a teacher again. In 2007, she was a visiting professor at the University of Virginia School of Law. From 2011 to 2016, she spoke on constitutional law at Blackstone Legal Fellowship, a summer training program for Christian law school students that the Alliance Defending Freedom established for the stated purpose of inspiring "distinctly Christian worldview in every area of law."

In 2010, Chief Justice John Roberts appointed Barrett to serve on the Advisory Committee for the Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure.

In 2017, Trump appointed her to the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. So she has only been a judge for 3 years. That's it. She has spent the majority of her career teaching, with a few odd lawyer jobs thrown in here and there.

There is an old saying, "Those who can't, teach."

so how many years as a judge should one have? what undergrad degrees are acceptable--dispite a doctorate level in law? Must they have earned a law degree and passed a state Bar?

is teaching that bad? didn't barack teach?

so we are what 50 hours from a vote? and as we inch closer i guess I will be proved wrong.

the best part is seeing how 2 faced thoes that wanted (Ruthy too) said that election years had nothing to do with the process...

but chin up sniffy joe the child toucher racits who says all people of color should support him will win and then be forced out (I bet just after 2 years) and H...arris will be put in... and then be defeated in 2024

I guess it is going to happen...

but this dick durbin... he's a dope... constitutional originalist is not bad... none of his points were any good.

and then that fool said we should have spent the last 5 days coming up with a covid relief bill... then why did the DNC stonewall the conformation process? this could haven been done days ago... the DEMS forced the slowdown.

chuck is even dumber... the darkest day? wait he was all mad that they did not hold hearings in 2016... he is a lie!
