No one on the left worships billionaires, the left is against billionaires.

Nonsense.
I for one have nothing but respect for anyone who is successful. Granted so long as the success is earned.

I’m guessing none of us on the left buy powerball tickets due to our apparent tribally mandated disdain for having vast amounts of money!

How confident are you that you’ve done more for humanity than any billionaire has?

I genuinely thought that it was an uncontroversial post in response to that America1st troll.

Yes, there isn't a billionaire on the planet who has done anything to justify it and yes I am "better" than them (whatever that means) simply by not being a billionaire, as are you, as is anyone. My measure of "success" isn't anything to do with a bank balance, GDP growth, or amount of land owned.

It’s funny reading all the excuses the trumpbots are making for trump though. The usual ‘blame it on someone else’ that they put in action. lol

You’re the one who is assigning value to someone based on how little money they have. So presumably you’re a worse human than people with less money than you? How people behave and what they do for or too each other has nothing to do with it?

Bill Gates for example has done far more to help people than I have so I’m not gonna make out that he’s a worse person than me based on a faux virtue of financial struggle. Far right, far left. It’s two sides of the same coin. Defined by hating groups rather than judging individuals by their actions. Tall poppy syndrome is not a good look. I hope you and everyone on your “left” don’t buy lottery tickets unless you’re committed to giving all but what you spent on it away.

No I live in a capitalist world, it already places a value on me based on my wealth, whether I like it or not, I certainly can't ignore it.

As for the rest, just because you're a radical centrist who likes to think he is above ideology doesn't mean that you are. You think that far left and far right are the same thing because it suits you, but sure that's fishhook theory for you!

My problem isn't with Bill Gates the person, he seems like a nice guy who is trying to do good, my problem is with his wealth; no unelected person should have that much power and influence. I don't wish him any personal harm, I hope he lives a long, happy life.

Right - except the ones that create their phones, social media, entertainment, and overpriced coffee. Those billionaires get billions of liberal dollars every second of every day. That is the basis for the hypocrisy that contradicts everything the left says it stands for.

the title is misleading he did not try to hide them... but they were stolen and illegay published and like the last time show nothing criminal. Keep in mind that these were all audited... and the IRS may have accepted them or may not have at which time he is given time to make corrections or appeal. Still not a crime. Unless he LIED. But taking a way too generous deduction, credit, or adjustment is not a crime.

it is funny how he is being attacked for following laws passed by obama!

Right! It is the tax code that the Obama Administration put in place. Trump simply pimped it to the max like ALL billionaires do - even the ones that the left worships like the tech moguls who are beyond reproach.

.

Right? No, obviously wrong. The tax code is much older than Obama's Presidency. Tax evasion by overstating deductions, credits and adjustments and understaing income has been a crime since long before Obama's Presidency.

.

Look up Al Capone.

.

Even the section of the tax code that currently makes what trump has done a felony crime if found guilty was first written in 1954 and it replaced an older provision. It was last updated in 1982 which would make it during Reagan's presidency.

.

Only is hiding behind his flawed understanding of the law and that parts of the tax code change during each presidency.

They don’t want to remember what Trump said, especially about the white supremacists sickos, because that would make them question their conscience as to if they hold those same racial biases too. They know he’s a racist, because trump doesn’t hide that side of him, and Trumpbots embrace that side of him too.

You assume because he is "your guy", the IRS does not make this assumption as evidenced by how long the audit is taking.

.

Wanting trump to not be seen as a cheat is not the same as trump not being a cheat.

You work for the IRS? You know this for a fact? Trump keeps telling us he’s being audited.
Because he is being audited.
.
Perhaps a tip off as to why the IRS decided to audit him was pretending to be billionaire and spends 70 thousand a year on hair products but is broke. Someone who can spend 70 thousand on personal hair products sounds like someone who should pay “something” in taxes don’t you think?

Trump sucks but Only has a point. Did he break the law or not? Charge him if he did. If you don't like him paying zero taxes legally then change your laws.

My guess is that is what the IRS is seeking to build a case with its audit - with the complication that trump is currently the president - If they charge him with the crime of willfully overstating deductions, credits or adjustments or understating income and lose or he pardons himself then this failure encourages future non compliance by others

.

Either way it hardly supports a vote for trump:

.

If he is potentially a felony criminal - don't vote for him.

.

If he is legally avoiding tax then he is not going to see this as a problem that needs fixing and he wont do anything about it.

Well I don't personally see anything coming from it, I'll believe it when it happens, but yeah as an attack in election season it makes sense, why wouldn't you use every thing you can to chip away at his reputation.
