My hubby told me last night that I am so angry at ALL cops. I told him, ya damn right, and every day it gets worse. It gets worse because they aren't listening or watching, or just don't give a damn.

i read an article last night in the washington post that was saying this is just an average amount of cop murders. so its that theyre now being filmed and reported more

2 in Missouri shot dead by cops last night. sad

So, if that's true then they are just going about their business as usual. They think this will go away again. We have to keep up the civic pressure and peaceful protests - and film everything they do.

The overwhelming majority of protesters are peaceful. Much of the looting was done by professional criminals ( and some amateurs) who took advantage of the situation to act when cops were busy elsewhere

Yes, it has to continue. Because of the protests, there is pressure on police depts to make changes. This would not have happened without the national and international protesting and pressure forcing it to happen. The peoples’ voices are being heard. Long time overdue.

and the overwhelming majority of interactions between cops and black people do not result in a person's rights being violated... a majority of peoel killed by cops are white...

the overwhelming majority of right wing PROTESTS resiults in no ciminal acts of violance of destriuction to property...

20+ pepople killed in these protests...

a big part of a city had been taken over by criminals....

Many millions in damage...

blocking fire trucks, medical help, and other first responders from going to save lives...

You know the angry FOXBOTS are not happy with the unity they’re seeing among the peaceful protesters.

They fear the progress/changes the voice of the protesters will bring. I’m glad it irritates the FOXBOTS/trump puppets. They have no other ammo but to focus on looters to make themselves feel better. They better get used to the changes that will come.

Soo, so true. I'm really getting cynical if it isn't the majority of police anyway. The training tactics are for military, not local cops. They are awash with surplus war toys. This attracts a certain kind of individual.

clapping clapping

This is definitely a big step in forcing police reform in Mew York State:

https://www.governor.ny.g...da-package

JUNE 12, 2020 Albany, NY

Governor Cuomo Signs 'Say Their Name' Reform Agenda Package

Say Their Name Reform Agenda Package:. clapping :clap:

“Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today signed the 'Say Their Name' Reform Agenda package following the killing of George Floyd and an ongoing pattern of police brutality against minority communities across the nation. These landmark policing reforms will help reduce inequality in policing and reimagine the state's criminal justice system. The reforms include:

Allowing for transparency of prior disciplinary records of law enforcement officers by repealing 50-a of the civil rights law;

Banning chokeholds by law enforcement officers;

Prohibiting false race-based 911 reports; and

Designating the Attorney General as an independent prosecutor for matters relating to the civilian deaths.”

no, you just did not comprehend what I said... it was not an attempt to minimize bad apples it was to point out that sometimes people here do it that when it suits them and sometimes does the opposite when that suits them.

in any large group there is going to be a range of people some will be better some worst than others... (even if most are bad or most are good)

and then the very next post was "we cant ignore the bad apples" amongst the protestors.
