Howard Stern on Trump

No truer words have been spoken :

“The oddity in all of this is the people Trump despises most, love him the most,” said Stern on Tuesday. “The people who are voting for Trump, for the most part … He wouldn’t even let them in a f*cking hotel. He’d be disgusted by them. Go to Mar-a-Lago, see if there’s any people who look like you. I’m talking to you in the audience.”

I have been saying this same thing for years- Trump doesn't care about his "base". He laughs at them behind their backs as rubes and suckers and dumb hillbillies. He can't believe they're so gullible to buy the bullshit he slings. Trump lloks at his supporters as consumers that he could market to, and nothing more. And I've said that to the Trump supporters and apologists on here many times . You think Trump would want to spend time , or cares about, some poor schmuck in Texas ? No, he wishes he was rubbing shoulders with Elton John and Bill Gates and Christy Turlington and Julia Roberts.

Stern saus it best here :

I don’t hate Donald,” Stern said. “I hate you for voting for him, for not having intelligence.”

It is a dangerous, disgusting cult. Pure and simple.

You have pointed that out many times jj! Love that last line, just don't understand how people can be that stupid.

The Trumper I talk to a lot is my neighbor. He's an atypical Republican who Trump would hate on sight. He belly laughs when Trump lashes out at people, ignores any consequences of Trump's actions, and says ridiculous things to defend him. It seems to be a herd mentality of assholes or asshole wannabes recognizing and adoring a supreme asshole.

During interviews this week, he engaged both George Stephanopoulos and Anderson Cooper in this same vein. He cannot believe that people support him - it is ridiculous.

They're the same folks who voted for Goldwater, Nixon, Reagan, Bush, Giuliani....Trump is just doing what others did before him, feeding the base.

In the past, Howard has supported Reagan, Giuliani & 'Slippery' Al D'Amato, but he also voted for Bill Clinton

Interesting also that Joe Rogan on his podcast seems to lean for Trump. He spends most of hos podcasts digging into Biden and regurgitating "progressives" but glossing over everything about Trump. He thinks Trump is funny.

I think he has a crush on Trump.

I cannot stand Rogan. He proclaims to be so deep, evolved and philosophical, but I never bought into that. I always got the cocky yet misinformed vibe from him.

Rogan, Adam Carrola and Dr. Drew are a complete waste of time, IMO.

The comparisons and differnece with Nixon, Reagan, Bush(s) - is we did not have the same social media machines we have now. And for some reason when these guys were called out on blatantly telling lies or even half-truths they owned it and suffered the consequences. But Trump LIES all the time and his base does not give a shit. They actually seem proud to have a smarmy, lying asshole for president. It's a horror show!

And Trump himself probably agrees with that. Con men always laugh at their "marks" for being gullible and stupid. They get a kick out of it. Trump certainly thinks these "dumb rubes" are beneath him...Sadly, they are not smart enough to see through him

Well, he has intresting guests that I may sometimes never know of. Different points of view are great. I don't have to agree with everyone on everything. And I surely don't even agree with a people on the left on everything.

Bill Maher for example. I disagree with him on a lot of stuff but I still enjoy hearing him and his guests.

I believe that this is absolutely true. True true true. Now let’s look at the other wing of the same bird. Obama, as a resident of Massachusetts I can tell you that we are a very diverse state, where I live is diverse and where basketball 🏀 was first played Springfield is diverse. Hard to think of Obama and not think or Martha’s Vineyard, one of the whitest richest places in 🇺🇸. He greatest 💰 supporter was Harvey Weinstein. He loved his rich city and they thrived and thrived and thrived during his administration. A man like Harvey wasn’t backing Obama with 💰 💰 💰 because he cared about all the poor people who couldn’t be called PWT or Hillbillies. Trump would not have become President if that was the case. Obama said to vote for Hilary and in 2016 many of those that voted for him simply stayed home. They didn’t listen to either him or his wife, both of whom campaigned hard for Clinton. They were the largest no-show of 2016 because they absolutely did not believe that they would be cared about by the very party they backed in 2008 and 2012. If Biden thinks he has these people in his pocket he is a fool.
