#Obamagate

Help me out folks....

So #Obamagate is trending and I've just spent way too long tryng to find out what he has supposedly done? But I'm getting a big fat nothingburger.

The tweets all either say #Obamagate pls retweet (usually with some Obama hatred thrown in), or they talk about Twitter removing tweets with #Obamagate.

My assumption is that Trump tweeted it and that bots and his followers are spreading it, whilst Twitter try to sort the bots from the real people, deleting the former.

Baseless propaganda to try and gain votes I'm assuming?

The second and third wave of the Spanish flu were far worse than the first wave.

.

It was in one of trump's tweets following Obama pointing out just how badly trump is managing the Covid19 crisis. Apparently trump was accusing Obama of being the first ex president to ever criticise their successor.

It's really sad that former Presidents have to step up to the plate to try to comfort the people, because the idiot that is in there now has no empathy.

Trump Goes Wild With ‘Obamagate’ Conspiracy Theory After Obama Slams Flynn Case

President Donald Trump littered his Twitter feed with posts about an “Obamagate” conspiracy theory on all throughout Sunday, which baselessly accuses former President Barack Obama of sabotaging Trump’s presidency with the investigation of Michael Flynn.

“The biggest political crime in American history, by far!” Trump tweeted in response to a post claiming Obama “used his last weeks in office to target incoming officials and sabotage the new administration.”

“Wow, this is BIG!” he wrote with a retweet of hard right website Gateway Pundit’s post titled “Former President’s Fingerprints All Over Attempted Coup and More Documents Are Coming!”

Then Trump tweeted “OBAMAGATE!” and “He got caught, OBAMAGATE!” hours later. He spent the rest of the night retweeting various memes and articles peddling the conspiracy theory.

The president’s Twitter spree came several days after his predecessor criticized the Justice Department’s dismissal of its case against Trump’s former national security adviser, Michael Flynn, who had pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI in the agency’s investigation into the Trump 2016

campaign’s ties to Russia...

Obama said this re Covid-19 in the same talk -

...“What we’re fighting against is these long-term trends in which being selfish, being tribal, being divided, and seeing others as an enemy — that has become a stronger impulse in American life. And by the way, we’re seeing that internationally as well. It’s part of the reason why the response to this global crisis has been so anemic and spotty,” Obama said, according to Yahoo News.

“It would have been bad even with the best of governments. It has been an absolute chaotic disaster when that mindset — of ‘what’s in it for me’ and ‘to heck with everybody else’ — when that mindset is operationalized in our government,” he said...

Yup. You'd think if there was one thing that would encourage a country to come together, it would be an invisible virus sweeping through the land, killing indiscrimately. But no, over 80,000 dead and the country is as divided as ever, and the leader fails time after time to acknowledge the dead, or even to seemingly take the whole thing seriously.

To add: It's not just America becoming evermore divided. Scotland, Wales and Ireland have rejected England's way of dealing with the virus, rejected the stupid 'Stay Alert' slogan, and have gone alone. And I don't blame them for one second. They are the sensible ones with leaders that speak clearly, and seem to be honest in their desire to save lives.

George W. Bush, in call for unity, says Americans ‘are not partisan combatants' amid coronavirus outbreak

The comments appeared to draw the ire of President Donald Trump, who complained that Bush didn’t call for partisanship to be put aside during his impeachment saga.

WASHINGTON – Former President George W. Bush is urging Americans to “remember how small our differences are in the face” of the coronavirus outbreak, which he described as a “remorseless and invisible enemy” that “threatens the elderly and vulnerable among us."

...he said that “even at an appropriate social distance, we can find ways to be present in the lives of others.”

“In the final analysis, we are not partisan combatants, we are human beings, equally vulnerable and equally wonderful in the sight of God,”... "We rise or fall together, and we are determined to rise."

Yep Obama rightly called out Trump for the mess of how he handled convid19 and Trump is not one to take criticism particularly well. He is one (usually the only one) to pat himself on the back regardless and blame others. Taking responsibility and reality is not in his DNA.

I don't think Trump has ever had to suffere the consequences of any of his actions. I have a feeling that Fred bailed him out time after time, and always found a way to blame it on someone else, and that is how Trump became Trump. Or dad would threaten to cut him off financially anytime something happened, and Trump learned to shift the blame to keep his inheritance. Either way, Trump has never had to face what he has done and has always shifted blame. He never learned the lesson that we all did, actions have consequences.

Trump: "It was hard to get it aroused and it is hard to get it aroused but we got it aroused."
[narrator voice] He's talking about the "American way."

Trump won't name crime he's accusing Obama of committing

President Trump on Monday declined to name the crime he believes former President Obama committed as he was pressed on a string of critical tweets he sent over the weekend accusing his predecessor of committing the biggest political crime in history.

“You know what the crime is. The crime is very obvious to everybody. All you have to do is read the newspapers, except yours,” Trump told Washington Post reporter Philip Rucker during a press conference in the White House Rose Garden.

If he does have an answer to a question it is a "nasty question" and he attacks the reporter. He disrespected those women reporters and then stomped off when they called him on his rude shit.

nod He is THEE biggest piece of crap. Plus, he stood up ther and lied. The US isn't leading the world on testing, and not everyone who wants a test can get a test. The rate of infection is not declining rapidly - there are surges in some areas and I expect we will see more as states reopen and people stop social distancing and/or wearing masks.

He and his administration and his base are not smart enough to know that this is not about opinion. This is science, and science relies on data and numbers that are not up for debate - they just are.

Yes, that last sentence. All a ploy to kick up dust and deflect from what a terible job the president is doing.

Check out the the last press conference where a reporter asks Dotard to explain what Obamagate is. He only replies that she knows, everyone knows, and it was horrible, blah blah blah. If I am not mistaken, this is where when continually pressed to explain what Obamagate is, Dotard stops the press conference abruptly and simply walks offstage. He really believes that he should not be accountable for his words or challenegd in any way, it is incredible to witness.

The Dotard is a liar. It is sickening to see how far we have allowed our standards to fall where integrity and leadership are concerned when it comes to the Oval Office.

It completely boggles my mind how this man has any supporters outside of his rich cronies lining their pockets from his foilbles. Just the fact that he lies on a daily basis, playing in our faces and covering up his misdeeds no better than a petulant child, you would hope people would come to their senses and realize how incompetent and unsavory this fellow is. Obviously this is not going to happen with his allies closest to him, but the average Joe sitting at home watching him spew nonsense daily...it scares me to see how far we have fallen collectively in terms of what we accept as a leader.
