Sane people all know that Trump needs to go,but you can't fight one toxic with another and hope it will all work out. Let's remember that Warren has never even stated how she would pay for her overhaul, and how tearing down Obamacare for something completely new from scratch could even pass or be enacted in a voters lifetime.
It's not about Trump VS democrats, it's toxic vs toxic. Biden needs someone like Amy Klobuchar who hasn't drank the kool aid and can united the country not contine the circus that will sure to open up again if Warrren gets the nomination.
Bullshit. You are the one in this discussion who introduced the phrase "toxic progressives" - and now you are doubling down on it like it's a thing. It isn't - just another extension of the false equivalency tactic that is all the rage now. EVERYthing is not the same - for instance - Pence is NOT acting Presidential no matter how many times you post it.

And I don't think Klobuchar could get the black vote:
In January 2020, an Associated Press investigation revealed new evidence and various inconsistencies in Klobuchar's handling of the case of Myon Burrell, an African-American teenager who was sentenced to life in prison over the murder of 11-year-old Tyesha Edwards in 2002. Upon this revelation, civil and racial rights groups including the Minneapolis NAACP, Black Lives Matter Twin Cities and other groups and affiliated and unaffiliated activists have called on Klobuchar to suspend her presidential campaign. Klobuchar faced sustained scrutiny about this issue, facing these lingering questions at the subsequent New Hampshire and Nevada debates. [Edited 5/6/20 9:32am] |

They can’t alienate ANY of the voting public and think that the progressive cult is more palatable to those that are not part of the left leaning echo-chamber. [Edited 5/5/20 12:59pm] You basically summed up the democrats as one and the same, by suggesting democrats can’t let themselves believe there are others that don’t think differently. Why would you believe they don’t think others think differently? Of course they see it. Who could miss that many of trumps’ supporters don’t see trump as toxic? That’s the problem right there. Lets go back during that last election year. You have to remember all the shit tat was going on during that election period. Many of trump’s voters didn’t know much about him, especially the ones who were mesmerized by his outlandish, reality tv show personalit, and thought his rudeness was hilarious. Then there’s the cult (white nationalists/ nazi types/and many in rural communities)where trump spoke their language of racial division, hatred and ignorance). He already knew he had those toes in his pocket. The there were some in the middle, who were surprised and brainwashed by his concerns and interests for the white community only, and his boldness of saying in public, what many of them say in the dark and at their dinner tables. That’s what won him those types of voters. What caused Hillary to lose votes at the last minute, was trump’s constant talk of Hillary’s emails, which had many Bernie supporters in limbo, and were already angry that Bernie lost to Hillary. Then not to mention Bernie’s, public angst towards the Democratic Party after losing, to Hillary and suggesting in public, that some Democrat officials intentionally didn’t want him to be the winner. That made many Beenie supporters angry, so they either voted for trump or didn’t vote at all. Then the bombshell from Comey just a few days before the election about Hillary’s emails, really left a lot of Democratic voters unsure about Hillary. Yes, Trump played the game well against her, because of course, he’s always been good at conning people. but if the Comey thing didn’t happen, I believe Hillary would have won. Many of us have always said trump knows the supporters he wants to attract, and what to say to draw them in, no matter how low he has to go to do it, and who will fall for anything he says. It’s not difficult to figure that out. [Edited 5/6/20 5:07am]
I don’t have a particular favorite as to who should be considered Biden’s VP yet. Plus I don’t know much about Klobuchar, to say she can unite the country, when most haven’t heard of her before the presidential campaign. It’s not like her name was as familiar as Warren, and I’m not saying Warren should be the VP pick either. I’m still undecided about the VP pick for now. Biden has quite a few that he could choose from just within Congress. (I never realized how many females in Congress were Democrats.) He could go with an unknown, but I don't think he will. I think he will want to choose someone with name recognition.
Btw, there only 9 Female Republican Senators vs. 17 Female Democratic Senators, this is out of 100 Senators. And there are only 14 Female Republican Representatives vs. 91 Female Democrat Representatives, this is out of 435 Representatives total.
Ladies, are you feeling well represented? [Edited 5/6/20 17:38pm] |

Also how many of those congresswomen actually want that job? Some may be happy right where they are. That's not a job everyone wants.
And also timing. Even if it's a job someone wants, it may not be the right time for them to commit to such a position. |

Justice Dept under Barr has dropped the case against Flynn, stating they do not believe they can prove the case against Flynn. This ignores the fact that Flynn admitted to everything, struck a plea deal even. I have a feeling that this was done in an attempt to help Trump's re-election, because his base believes that Russia was "nothing but a Democratic hoax". By doing this, Barr is throwing his base a bone, because he knows Trump won't be re-elected on the economy or jobs numbers now, or on his handling of the Covid-19 pandemic. This way they can say, "See? Trump is getting rid of the Deep State, one by one." |

I honestly don't know if the Fed Judge has to rule on it. But one of the prosecutors on the case has withdrawn:
Brandon Van Grack, a former member of special counsel Robert Mueller's team, moved to withdraw from the Justice Department's prosecution of former national security adviser Michael Flynn on Thursday. He did not provide a reason for his withdrawal.
Why it matters: Van Grack leads a team that has been accused by Flynn's attorneys of prosecutorial misconduct. New FBI documents stemming from Flynn's move to withdraw his 2017 guilty plea have amplified conservative claims that prosecutors sought to entrap the former top Trump aide into lying about his conversations with the former Russian ambassador.

But I still think this was a political move, not a judicial one. [Edited 5/7/20 17:08pm] |
