Provide a current link (within the last two days) of this exact information you posted on that chart (with no link) from the NYT, please.

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/03/21/upshot/coronavirus-deaths-by-country.html

It's the most recent one available.

This chart is showing the US trajectory heading UP UP UP.
China, S Korea and Iran are starting to level out.

Health care professionals are geting this virus because they lack the protective gear - we need them to treat patients.

And venitlators are STILL scarce with regard to need.

How does this chart in any way prove that the administration is handling it well?

Deaths in U.S. States

Similar tracking shows how the disease is progressing in different U.S. states. Deaths so far have been highest in the states of Washington and New York, the sites of the country’s first major outbreaks. But the numbers are growing in other parts of the country as well. As death totals in any state reach 10, they will be added to this chart. (Since many parts of the U.S. are in an earlier stage of the epidemic, we’re using a lower threshold for this chart — we expect to adjust this in the days ahead.)

The partisans are out and throwing glitter on turd. But Trump's divisive and combative nature with the press and reality just proves how unfit as a leader he is.
All he had to do was try and unite us. Comfort us. But his childish jacktastic ugly nature just doesn't stop. He couldn't grow up and step up as a leader when we needed a leader most.

Leadership at the federal level is AWOL

Anyone know what can be done at the democratic convention to get Cuomo as the nominee instead of Biden? Can Biden graciously step aside for Cuomo? Is that even possible?

I found this article

Could a ‘Draft Cuomo’ Movement Be in the Democrats’ Future?

It’s not out of the question if Biden keeps looking out of touch and irrelevant.

Democrats are publicly talking about “contingency options” for their July convention in Milwaukee in case the coronavirus persists in being a public-health threat. But privately, some are also talking about needing a Plan B if Joe Biden, their nominee apparent, continues to flounder.

Some Democrats are openly talking up New York governor Andrew Cuomo, whose profile has soared during the crisis, as a Biden stand-in. Yesterday, a Draft Cuomo 2020 account on Twitter announced that “Times have changed & we need Gov. Cuomo to be the nominee. Our next POTUS must be one w/an ability to lead thru this crisis.”

Charles Pierce, the politics blogger for Esquire magazine, wrote a piece headlined “With Two Words, Andrew Cuomo Established Himself as the Leader This Country Needs Now.” He enthused that Cuomo’s news conference last Friday “essentially (shutting) down the economy of his state . . . was a master class in leveling with the public.”

Fueled by favorable national publicity that governors rarely get, Cuomo has quickly become the standard-bearer for liberals who don’t want to quickly open up parts the economy at the same time we combat the coronavirus. This Tuesday, the governor tweeted: “We are not willing to sacrifice 1-2% of New Yorkers. That’s not who we are. We will fight to save every life we can. I am not giving up.” Last weekend, Cuomo told reporters he might go into Manhattan himself to yell “You are wrong” at people defying his lockdown.

Democrats are increasingly worried that Joe Biden will have trouble being relevant and compelling in the long four months between now and when he is nominated in July. Lloyd Constantine, who was a senior policy adviser to New York governor Eliot Spitzer from 2007 to 2008, puts it bluntly: “Biden is a melting ice cube. Those of us who have closely watched as time ravaged the once sharp or even brilliant minds of loved ones and colleagues, recognize what is happening to the good soldier Joe.”

Whoa eek

I think Cuomo has a bright future - his take charge and push to get resources as fast as possible have given people confidence in his leadership. I think people want a leader who has a handle on exactly what's going on and is working tirelessly to help his constituency. I fr one have been extremely impressed with him and listen to his daily briefings as they are more informative and delivered wiht more gravity than the daily WH campaign ral... er.... press conferences.

You could say he has won the re-election already.

Despite his slowness to act (despite the lesson of how quickly the motherf*ckin Covid19 spreads-China/Italy/Spain) he's already blaming companies (General Motors) and acting all heroic and strong with the 2.2 Billion plan. Not before long, he'll pose himself as the Defender of America against the "asian virus" and the slow/incompetent worldwide countries that did nothing (like himself) to contain the virus and protect the economy (he is doing that already, I'll give him that).

That and the fact that the Dems can only bring on the table an old hardline socialist and a not-really-popular ex-President accused of sexual abuse and there you have it: Trump 2020-2024. Economy first they will say.

Yep he’s losing votes for sure. He’s angered many because of the way he handled the voronavirus situation, and fighting with Governors, who he felt didn’t kiss his ass. He’s putting Americans at risk by putting his ego before their health and concerns.

Well, we knew it was inevitable, still Biden is not a strong candidate.

We can only blame the voters and Biden. We know name recognition plays a huge role in running for office and Biden certainly had a lot of that.

Fools in the media kept going on and on about some candidates not doing well among certain groups but all it was was name recognition. People vote for who they know. A lot of the younger candidates obviously do not register with a lot voters because regular joes are not deep in the weeds like a lot of us here in political forums.

Eh whatever. Let's just hope Biden doesn't fuck up too bad.

We know that Trump voters don't give a fuck about anything he does regardless and has gotten a free pass. I mean Trump boasts he can kill someone in broad daylight and not lose any votes. And that seems to be true.

Okay, great. So now we have one confused old man running against another confused old man, which, of course, would have been totally different if that confused old man that has just stepped out would have won... Uh... What am I saying...? I'm confused. No, I'm not. The next president of the USofA is going to be a confused old man. So no news here then. Move on, folks, nothing to see... Except a country going down the drain...

At this point, ANYONE will be better than what we have. I believe Bernie was also in contact with Obama recently, several times, before he decided to drop out of the race.

He's already said he would definitely consider a female VP. I'm thinking either Kamala or Warren. But you know what would be a slap in the face to Trump is if he picked Hillary. However, I think picking Hillary would cost him the race and get Trump elected another 4 years.

As much a people like to bitch bout Hillary, she is the best qualified and goes without saying that she is certainly far more qualified that Trump.

I would wholeheartedly support a Biden/Clinton ticket.

I had to google her and must confess i don't know enough about her.

I would have to go with someone i got to know a lot better through the primaries. And if I had to pick someone from the primaries it would have to be Amy Klobuchar
