Trayvon would have been 25 years old today, had he lived. His death was such a travesty of justice, when the murderer walked free. I pray that one day, his family will know justice for his senseless killing. RIP Trayvon.

(My soon to be 16 year old daughter had heard about Trayvon's murder when she was in middle school, and to this day, she wears a hoodie to school every day, or when she goes out in public, and will refuse to wear any other type of outer wear. For some reason, the story of his murder really had an impact on her. She said she will only stop wearing a hoodie when there is finally justice and when black boys are no longer murdered for the color of their skin. She's in 10th grade now and has been wearing a hoodie since the 7th grade. It's all I can do to get it away from her to even wash it. I don't know why the story of his death impacted her so much, but her dad and I decided to respect her form of protest over the senseless killing(s). She doesn't tell anyone why she wears a hoodie all the time unless they ask her, but it's her way to remember him, I guess.)

You have no idea, eh?

Reminds me of Greta's parents saying they have no idea why she became so obsessed with the subject of climate change.

To quote a famous line from Prince, we are all a product of our environment. And typically parents are the biggest influence on their children.

But anyway ... Happy Birthday to Trayvon, wish he was still with us. pray

Hopefully one day Deputy Dawg will mess with the wrong person and get what's coming to him.

Not cool to politicize this thread, or to bring up lynchings.

Can we please try to keep THIS thread respectful?

Birthday threads are supposed to be about celebrating the person's birth, period.

Are you saying you created this thread just to advance a personal agenda?

With just one-sentence answers, I know this may require 20 responses from you. lol

What ticks me off are these clowns on social media saying the kid should have just walked away. If someone's following me, I regard that as a threat. I'm going to end it by any means necessary.

Don’t try that if you’re Black- everyone’s going to say that you were a “trouble making thug” or some such nonsense. You know how it works

Or they'll call you a "typical, angry, black man". Fuck them.

It's unfortunate Trayvon didn't knock that fool out.

You’re not alone...
You wonder why non-racist Right Wingers rarely if ever speak out against these bigoted lunatics who make them all look bad
