No one is coming for your abortion: they just want common-sense abortion regulations: background checks, waiting periods, lifetime limits, take a class, and a small tax.

I wonder if it were a man, would the Pope have done the same thing?

Bodyguards would have reacted in 0.5 seconds.

Body guards should of reacted. I assume he did that in case of being harmed in any way, an automatic reflex or he has been schooled in what to do should he get grabbed. I don't blame him for what he did. Safety comes first.

I don't know that song but a friend mentioned to me this morning about what did Jesus do when the sick woman touched the hem of his robe.
She said Jesus didn't slap the lady. 😂

.

Great song. And, yes, I don't think she meant any harm, so it was more likely that she was seeking just to do the equivalent of seeking to touch Jesus' garment.

.

I understand why she would do this (but he is only the Pope, not Jesus), I understand why the Pope would react that way and I understand why he apologised.

Agree... she grabbed him inappropriately and did not let go and he had a knee jerk reaction. It's really not that big of a deal.

Yes, it's not a biggie. She looked quite desperate for him to greet her, which was what made me think of the song and wonder about her backstory. I like to think the Pope's rebuke was rooted in the Chrsitian critique of idolatry, but he was probably just having an off day. fryingpan

It looked like it could have hurt a bit ,like she pinched or scratched him, grabbing and then pulling him. There is sometimes common courtesy when invading another person's body.

When he was stopping people from kissing his ring, he stopped them all the same way regardless of gender

He wasn't looking and she grabbed and held pretty hard. She was inappropriate and he had a 'knee-jerk reaction'. The guy is human...time to move on.
