You are correct, unrepentant serial adulterer Donald J. Trump called it "this phony emoluments clause".

He has also recently claimed that Nancy Pelosi is not the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

He has also claimed that "Article II" of the Constitution of the United States of America says he can do anything he wants.

He is acting like a dictator, or a monarch, or one who has wrongfully assumed powers not given to him. Most say he's acting like an enemy of the country.

I suppose if I had taken an oath to defend America against all enemies "foreign or DOMESTIC" I'd be getting a little nervous about possibly having to put my money where my mouth is.

Give him enough rope....

WARNING - Trigger danger ahead!

Hmmmm. Retired Navy Admiral William McRaven - the guy who commanded the SEAL team that killed Osama bin Laden - said that both he AND a retired 4-star general are worried that unrepentant serial adulterer Donald J. Trump is destroying our republic. From the New York Times, courtesy of - TRIGGER ALERT!!!! - Wonkette:

These men and women, of all political persuasions, have seen the assaults on our institutions: on the intelligence and law enforcement community, the State Department and the press. They have seen our leaders stand beside despots and strongmen, preferring their government narrative to our own. They have seen us abandon our allies and have heard the shouts of betrayal from the battlefield. As I stood on the parade field at Fort Bragg, one retired four-star general grabbed my arm, shook me and shouted, "I don't like the Democrats, but Trump is destroying the Republic!"

If our promises are meaningless, how will our allies ever trust us? If we can't have faith in our nation's principles, why would the men and women of this nation join the military? And if they don't join, who will protect us? If we are not the champions of the good and the right, then who will follow us? And if no one follows us — where will the world end up?

President Trump seems to believe that these qualities are unimportant or show weakness. He is wrong.

And if this president doesn't understand [the importance of our values], if this president doesn't demonstrate the leadership that America needs, both domestically and abroad, then it is time for a new person in the Oval Office — Republican, Democrat or independent — the sooner, the better. The fate of our Republic depends upon it.

Now - if I had told everyone that I had taken an oath to defend America from all enemies "foreign and DOMESTIC" and I believed that oath applies to me even to this very day, and I just read that the guy who killed bin Laden AND a retired 4-star general BOTH think unrepentant serial adulterer Donald J. Trump is a "DOMESTIC" enemy of our republic, then I'd be thinking pretty hard about the possibility that I might soon have to put my money where my mouth is.

Just sayin'. wink

you need to pay attention to what I have said and not make up things so much.

I have never liked him.

I did not support him at all in the primary and I did not vote for him in the general.

I do wish and I said I wished the other Reps would have seen him as a challenge and decided to run one person against him... but too many of them were too proud.

I said several times he was done.

I also wanted him to drop out over the bus tape... If someone wants to make up stuff I will sometimes correct the lies...

If you don't say you deny any/all of the statements, then we will take it that you agree unrepentant serial adulterer Donald J. Trump did, in fact, make the above-stated claims.

In which case, you may have some preparations to make. That is, if you did in fact take an oath to protect America against all enemies "foreign and DOMESTIC".

Wait you call me names for not freaking out over something trump or obama said? so I am not overly paranoid and that makes me worthy of such scorn?

And make no mistake if it came to I... I would do what I could do to defend the Constitution. the irony is several of the main candidates are saying they want to take away rights and property...going so far as to ban some properties... either of a certain type or over a given value. and that is oaky with you?

falloff

Man, you sure take the concept of "cut and run" to its limits!

If you or I say about unrepentant serial adulterer Donald J. Trump, "He's not my president" then sure - that's hyperbole.

But when the sitting president of the United States of America - a person who has taken an oath that says in whole, "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States" - says about the duly-elected Speaker of the House - which office, by the way, was established in 1789 by Article I, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution - then it's more than hyperbole. It's a direct refutation of the very oath the president took upon assuming office.

In other words, it's a direct refutation of the Constitution of the United States of America.

When the sitting president of the United States of America calls something that is specfically mentioned in that very Constitution three separate times "phony", you should take him at his word. Especially when he follows up by trying to compare himself to George Washington, who did business while president. But as will suprise no one, unrepentant serial adulterer Donald J. Trump is 100% wrong.

Our president takes money from foreign states, who specifically book rooms at his hotels. And most of the time don't ever show up at those hotels. This is about as blatant a violation of the emoluments clause as you can get. And, of course, it's a knowing violation of the very Constitution our president took an oath to protect.

Look - you and I both know unrepentant serial adulterer Donald J. Trump places absolutely no stock in either his word or any oath he takes. If he's willing to knowingly and repeatedly violate the oath he took in front of God with respect to fidelity, then he'll violate anything.

But when he violates the oath he took upon assuming the office of president of the United States of America?

Like I've said - those who took an oath to protect our country against enemies "foreign and DOMESTIC" probably ought to start thinking about what might come next.

Well, books I suppose.
.

a new book is out detailing women who have made sexual misconduct allegations

Donald Trump And The Making Of A Predatory President

In “All The President’s Women,” journalists Barry Levine and Monique El-Faizy uncover 43 new sexual assault allegations against the world’s most powerful man.https://www.huffpost.com/...8fac31b5a0

.

It is this sort of narration, combined with a stunning 43 new allegations of Trump’s sexual misconduct, that makes “All The President’s Women” such an impactful read. Levine and El-Faizy painstakingly document Trump’s decadeslong history of treating women as objects and accessories, from making derogatory comments to walking into the dressing rooms of underage beauty queens to alleged rape

This president has lied to the American people on a daily basis as if they were idiots that only watched fox news. He has disgustingly disrespected so many people simply because they do not support him or because of their race.
.
At the World Series he got to hear what Americans think of him. Since Fox News is complicit, they try to insulate him from reality, but that only makes it worse.

This one was just bizarre. I mean, why even lie and go here. Trump as his most pathetic and petty.

Emails Show Government Agency Melting Down Over Trump’s Hurricane Fiasco: ‘This Has Really Gotten Out of Hand’

https://www.thedailybeast...d?ref=home

The president was insistent that Alabama was, in fact, endangered by Dorian. Employees at NOAA and NWS took the brunt of it.

In early September, as Hurricane Dorian battered the east coast, President Donald Trump didn’t want to admit he was wrong about the storm’s impact in a tweet he had sent, so he instead dug in, dragged senior government officials into his charade, and even hosted reporters in the Oval Office to show them a days-old forecast map that he’d personally altered to prove that Alabama was in danger when it really wasn’t.

It was yet another bizarre, protracted episode of the Trump presidency and one that, as FOIA’d emails released Thursday show, created massive internal headaches for personnel at various agencies. (The Daily Beast was among the news outlets that FOIA’d for these communications.) One top official said that workers directly involved in handling hurricane response were forced to turn their cell phones off because of the influx of media calls seeking an explanation for the president’s tweets and his accompanying efforts to prove he’d been right about Alabama all along.

...

But by later that evening things had only gotten worse. Friedman forwarded an email he had received from a woman identifying as a scientist who had studded oceanography with former NOAA administrator Kathryn Sullivan. In it, the person had laced into the agency for the statement it put out accusing the agency leader of having a “boot-licking, pandering attitudes” and encouraging him to “grow a pair or get out.”

NEW YORK — A New York judge on Thursday ordered President Donald Trump to pay $2 million to an array of charities to resolve a lawsuit alleging he misused his own charitable foundation to further his political and business interests.

Judge Saliann Scarpulla said Trump breached his fiduciary duty to the Trump Foundation by allowing his campaign staff to plan a fundraiser for veterans’ charities in the run-up to the 2016 Iowa caucuses.

The event, which passed money through Trump’s non-profit, was designed “to further Mr. Trump’s political campaign,” Scarpulla said.

I began to really lose faith in unrepentant serial adulterer Donald J. Trump when I found out that he had to be embarrassed into paying a veteran $25,000 that he'd made a big deal about paying while campaigning in Iowa.

I don't recall the specifics of why the vet needed the money - medical issues, I assume - but unrepentant serial adulterer made this big announcement during a campaign rally that he'd pay the man's expenses.

And he never did.

The vet finally had to go to the media and tell them, "He hasn't paid and he won't return my calls. Can you help?"

That is the character of Donald J. Trump.
