Both Parties hate each other, but Democrats hate a bit less.

Pew Research kicks butt once again. Republicans tend to hate Democrats more than Dems hate them. This goes against all this guff about free speech and pc. Most Republicans think Dems are unpatriotic. Only 23 percent of Dems think that about them! Wow. As I have said for years, they are much much worse:

It's been that way since the advent of Rush Limbaugh, who turned hate into profit.

Pretty much the only reason any Democrat "hates" a Republican is as a response to the hatred they have experienced for years - decades, even - coming from the millions of Republicans who have bought into the message of fear, hatred and division espoused by Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, Mark Levin, Glenn Beck, Laura Ingraham, "Judge" Jeanine Pirro, Mike Huckabee, Bill O'Reilly, Michael Weiner/Savage, that fat fuck/possible pedophile/potential domestic terrorist Alex Jones, Stuart Varney, Lou Dobbs, everyone that's ever been on "Fox and Friends", and who knows how many local hosts.

Because you don't want to see it.

I get why Republicans would have hatred for people who constantly call them names, tell them they're terrible people because they don't agree with leftist policies, and basically try to enforce a one-way flow of tolerance. I don't think it's right, but I get it.

What about all the people on the Right who hate someone like me, not only for my beliefs (such as being pro-choice and pro Gay rights and for a seperation of church and state), but also because of who I am. I think that's a LOT more prevalent than the reverse (and I'm sure you know that too)

Defining hatred of other people's inherent qualities, (such as gender or skin color) as a "side" and expecting it to be treated as such is a bridge too far.

The difference is, everyone knows that anyone who genuinely hates you for any of those things is an idiot and shouldn't really be taken seriously, and fortunately, those folks are more and more deciding to be silent rather than expose themselves.

Conversely, people who publicly disagree with left wing orthodoxy have lost jobs, relationships, been doxxed, and had their lives turned upside down simply because they disagree with someone. And that is a great way to get someone to hate you, by removing someone's ability to make a living just because you disagree with their politics.

But you don't mention one important fact: that those people are no longer "silent " , and right now have an extreme example of their idiocy in the White House running our country and making policy (and surrounded by sycophants who excuse or ignore all of his bigotry and misogyny and homophobia in order to hold on to power). What you see as "idiocy " is actual warfare against other Americans (and other human beings who might not be citizens)

What about the arrogance of those who quote the Bible, as if it's the final and only answer for every issue? The Bible is a beautiful book, but you can learn as many life lessons from "The Godfather ". Not to mention all of those who constantly quote the Good Book but don't hold the messages in their hearts....

And I didn't say that everyone on the Left is "pro choice " or "pro gay". I said that I personally have those beliefs (though many on the Left share them), and there are MANY on the Right who would consider me a "Godless immoral Black bastard "

.

anyone can be arrogant, quoting songs, poems, scripture, laws and politics etc

I just used that as an example of people who point at others 'issues/sins/shortcomings' not realizing that action was self righteousness. Both political sides/parties do it.

I doubt that. The only ones would be socially conservative highly religious Black people, who may not be accurately described as being on the Left. And they probably wouldn't hate me like a Trump supporter (or many White conservatives) would hate me. The religious Black people would probably just think I needed to spend more time in Church and praising Jesus

I think (generally) Democrats who hate Republicans is based on what they say and do. Republicans (generally) who hate Democrats is often based on who they are. Look at how Republicans viewed Obama vs. how Democrats view Trump

Why is almost everything in the post whited out, and then only part of a sentence used to make a point? This kind of response is too reductive to be evaluated in the discussion. It's like using a soundbite or meme to answer something much more complex, rendering it fairly meaningless.

Again and again the argument that "both sides" are really exactly the same on so many issues when they're not the same. I don't get it. It's as if discernment has no meaning, everything anyone thinks carries the same weight. But in real life it doesn't.

Why do you need to know.

Can you read what is 'grayed'? If I wanted it whited out you wouldn't see it.
Simply and plainly because the part that is not 'grayed' is the part my response is focused on.
Just as if you bolded something to reply to.

Why are you problematic? JJ can deal with JJ, I don't need you running interference and getting in my lane and then crying that you think I'm going to ban you. If you weren't busy being problematic. You would be able to look and see that the dark part is what I directly replied to. Keep trolling.

Yes, it is a very dangerous place. And they don't realize how nazi-ish it is looking

Exactly.

Can Someone Be Fired for Being Gay? The Supreme Court Will Decide

https://prince.org/msg/105/461012

[Edited 10/15/19 20:17pm]

As I SAID before, two sides of arrogance and self righteousness.

Teachers get fired, if they use read or use the N word in an academic setting. People get 'outraged' teacher looses job.
Yes it is happening and it comes from the LEFT

.

And as of right now, That which you posted is not happening. Open your eyes. Black folk are the leaders in anti-gay progress. And the majority of them call themselves 'left'. wake up.

.

Woke black folk are at arms about abortion being the genocide of black people.

And homosexuality (an white devils invention) is to destroy the black man and family

wake up

And it is black folk that mainly called President Obama 'the Gay President'

.

When 'Black Lives Matter' Is Invoked in the Abortion Debate

Those seeking to outlaw abortion lament what they see as an undoing of the fabric of black families. They liken the high abortion rates among black women to a cultural genocide, and sometimes raise the specter of eugenics and population control when discussing abortion rights

.

Condemnation of homosexuality in the black community: a gender-specific phenomenon?

Greater relative endorsement was found of the proposition by blacks confirming the hypothesis that less social tolerance of homosexuality exists in the black community. Analyses of gender, educational achievement, religious preference, and marital status revealed that the racial difference in condemnation of homosexuality was derived almost exclusively from a difference in attitude between black and white females. The primary source of this difference may stem from the black female perception that homosexuality exacerbates the developing problem of a decreasing pool of available black males

.

Crunching The Numbers On Blacks' Views On Gays

"Homophobia in the black community — indeed, even among the leaders of the civil rights movement of the 1960s — was some of the most virulent and stubborn of all, and there are still some who resent the equation of the gay rights movement with their struggle," wrote Charles P. Pierce at Salon.1

Lewis looked at a bunch of polls and found that trend speeding way up. "When I look at 28 polls back from 2004, at that point blacks were about six points less likely than whites to support same-sex marriage."

In fact, thinking about it, I'm not sure that I fully agree with the premise of the OP. I think (generally) Democrats who hate Republicans is based on what they say and do. Republicans (generally) who hate Democrats is often based on who they are. Look at how Republicans viewed Obama vs. how Democrats view Trump

Again and again the argument that "both sides" are really exactly the same on so many issues when they're not the same. I don't get it. It's as if discernment has no meaning, everything anyone thinks carries the same weight. But in real life it doesn't.

If you don't understand how arrogance can be on either side, any belief, etc then I understand why YOU said 'politics does not divide'...
