Narly 2/3 of American voters say they are not better off financially since unrepentant serial adulterer Donald J. Trump took office.

Trump's tax cuts did not work.

Thirty-one percent say they are worse off, and thirty-three percent say they are not better or worse off. So when unrepentant serial adulterer Donald J. Trump asks, "Are you better off than you were four years ago?" about 2/3 of the voters will say "No".

Not surprisingly, the 1/3 who think they're better off are the richest Americans.

One of his Ukranian buddies is in the process of flipping, so they probably won't need Genius Lawyer(TM) Rudy Giuliani's testimony in the impeachment trial of unrepentant serial adulterer Donald J. Trump.

And of course should Genius Lawyer(TM) Rudy Giuliani be indicted - as many people are saying, believe me - he won't testify at all. Unless he does, which would be a giant mistake and therefore a real possibility.

A lot of people are asking, "When did Genius Lawyer(TM) Rudy Giuliani go from being the Mayor on 9/11 to The 9/11 of Mayors?"

It wouldn't surprise me if his Ukrainian cronies tried to screw the feds just as they would screw Giuliani and everyone else they've ever "worked" with. Trump's defense may luck out with the fact that they are not credible witnesses...unless they have a paper trail.

Fingers crossed the LA Gov race is next. Trump and Pence are peeing all over this state right now, they can't fly here enough. I've seen the Dem hating rally clip from here (where Trump slurs the word industries so badly it's unintelligible) literally 1000's of times in the last month. They run it back to back to back.

Alabama says it won't punish students who boo Trump at LSU game

USA TODAY

Alabama will not punish students who boo President Donald Trump at Saturday's game against LSU at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

In a statement Wednesday afternoon, the university's Student Government Association said an earlier message that threatened to revoke seating at future games for "organizations that engage in disruptive behavior" had been taken out of context.

"The SGA strongly affirms its belief in free speech and the rights of all students to express their opinions," the statement said. "Today’s report erroneously assigned a political context to a message meant only to remind students about heightened security and the consequences of altercations or other behaviors unbecoming of a University of Alabama student."

That was a pretty tight shot at the game, but haven't seen much footage here. Football is the other religion and the worshippers are preoccupied.

Even if Sessions doesn't win, it will be a Republican, we are talking Alabama. Interesting how much Trump is embracing the Deep South, stalwarts of dirty swamp politics.

An Alabama man was arrested for slashing a 'baby Trump' balloon

The slashing incident occurred during Trump's visit to the University of Alabama-Louisiana State football game Saturday, when the towering 20-foot "baby Trump" balloon was set up in a park close to the stadium.

Jim Girvan, the organizer of a group that "adopts" out the baby Trump balloons for protests, told the Associated Press that a man "charged at the balloon with a knife and cut an 8-foot-long gash" in its back.

A protest against the president at Tuscaloosa’s Monnish Park ended abruptly after a man slashed a large “Baby Trump” balloon.

Witnesses said the incident happened shortly before kickoff of the Alabama-LSU game. President Donald Trump attended the game at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

“Officers observed Hoyt Deau Hutchinson, age 32 of Tuscaloosa, AL, cut into the “Baby Trump” balloon, and then attempted (sic) to flee the area. Officers apprehended the suspect and took him into custody on a charge of Criminal Mischief First Degree. Hoyt was transported to Tuscaloosa County Jail where he was held on a $2,500 bond,” a statement from Tuscaloosa police read.

#MAGA BIG FAIL!!!

Trump surrogate loses to Democratic Governor incumbent in Louisiana!!! John Bel Edwards prevails over Eddie Rispone.

Total nailbiter and the ugliest campaign I've ever seen, including the phrase "race card" being used against Edwards in TV commercials. Yuge loss for the Trump brand. He and Pence made multiple trips here. Rispone thanked Trump before God and his family in a rally last week - unprecedented here.

Trump made big mistakes in that rally. He repeatedly said Edwards was pro-abortion and a far left liberal. Everyone in LA knows Edwards is anti-abortion and not far left - in any other state he would be a Republican. Edwards squeaked by in a deep red state because cross-over Repubs voted for him, just like 4 years ago. Also, 90% of New Orleans voted for Edwards, an African-American majority city, along with East Baton Rouge. Shreveport in the north is also deep blue. All came out in force.

https://www.nola.com/opin...b502d.html

A sweet win for John Bel Edwards but a tough road ahead in the next 4 years

...For his part, Trump hugged Rispone right back. The president appeared at two rallies in north Louisiana in the campaign’s last two weeks, and openly suggested that voters could send a “message” to Democrats in Washington by electing Rispone. Instead, they sent a different message, that Trump’s coattails aren’t enough to carry a weak candidate across the finish line against a strong one...

That’s got to be gratifying to Edwards, but the race’s closeness should also serve as a warning, particularly since the Legislature is expected to be even more conservative than the one he often battled during his first four years.

Democrats hold on to Louisiana governor’s seat despite Trump

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards has stunned Republicans again, narrowly winning a second term Saturday as the Deep South’s only Democratic governor and handing Donald Trump another gubernatorial loss this year.

In the heart of Trump country, the moderate Edwards cobbled together enough cross-party support with his focus on bipartisan, state-specific issues to defeat Republican businessman Eddie Rispone, getting about 51% of the vote.

Coming after a defeat in the Kentucky governor’s race and sizable losses in Virginia’s legislative races, the Louisiana result seems certain to rattle Republicans as they head into the 2020 presidential election. Trump fought to return the seat to the GOP, making three trips to Louisiana to rally against Edwards.

In a victory rally of his own late Saturday, Edwards thanked supporters who danced, sang and cheered in celebration, while he declared, “How sweet it is!”

He added, “And as for the president, God bless his heart” — a phrase often used by genteel Southerners to politely deprecate someone.
