Trump Ousts John Bolton as National Security Adviser

Well, whatever the reason, good. I have something to give the president credit for. Bolton advocated the worst of the worst of hawkish American in foreign policy.

.

My only concern, as this is Turd, is that we may very well get someone even worse. But overall, great news seeing Bolton gone.

https://www.nytimes.com/2...trump.html

WASHINGTON — President Trump announced on Tuesday that he had fired John R. Bolton, his third national security adviser, amid fundamental disagreements over how to handle major foreign policy challenges like Iran, North Korea and most recently Afghanistan.

“I informed John Bolton last night that his services are no longer needed at the White House,” the president wrote on Twitter. “I disagreed strongly with many of his suggestions, as did others in the Administration, and therefore I asked John for his resignation, which was given to me this morning. I thank John very much for his service.”

Mr. Bolton disputed the president’s version of how the end came in his own tweet shortly afterward. “I offered to resign last night and President Trump said, ‘Let’s talk about it tomorrow,’” Mr. Bolton wrote, without elaborating.

Responding to a question from The New York Times via text, Mr. Bolton said his resignation was his own initiative, not the president’s. “Offered last night without his asking,” he wrote. “Slept on it and gave it to him this morning.”

I think this is one of the few times Trump has done something that overall, (left, right, center) people are ok with.

Noteable on the GOP side, Mitt Romney was sad to see him go, but Rand Paul was glad to see him go.

TUCKER CARLSON is even glad to see him gone.

I think this makes perfect sense if he wants to keep his pre-election promises. Bolton is a hawk and has nothing in common with Trump and his foreign policy ideas, as minimalistic as those may be.

Good decision by Trump.

If he keeps making good decisions, for whatever reasons even if just to win re election, who cares?
A good decision is a good decision.

As has been pointed out all over the media. Trump doesn't get props for firing the guy - ie "good decision" - because he HIRED him in the first place...

Our National Security team, along with many other gov branches, has been gutted due to the President-centric worship system we have now.

I wonder if Bolton's quit-fire played in any part in the decision by whomever to bomb the Saudi oil facilities?

The whole world knows unrepentant serial adulterer Donald J. Trump is a pussy, but most people are afraid of Bolton. With Bolton gone, I'd not be surprised if some bad actors now think, "Bombs away! That pussy Trump won't do anything!"

This isn't me supporting Bolton; he should never have been in any administration. But it just goes to show how bad decisions made by a pussy like Trump have far-reaching consequences.

...when anyone can finally put the square peg in the square hole, you get an attaboy from me.

If we go that route, then we play blame all the way home. I mean who elected Turd in the first place? I already made a thread about keeping that demo accountable.
We have to move forward.

I give props when props is due.

It's been awhile since I've done this, so let's see if I can remember it all.

Unrepentant serial adulterer Donald J. Trump won the Electoral College because fat, lazy, ugly, smelly, chain-smoking, Schlitz-drinking, Kardashian-watching, Justin Bieber-listening, Cheez-Whiz-guzzling, nosehair-picking, butt-scratching, booger-eating slugs in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan who voted for Barack Obama in 2012 were too lazy/butt-hurt/stupid to get their pimple-ridden asses off their BarcaLounger and vote in 2016.

Some will say, "We didn't vote because Hillary Clinton never came to our town/state and kissed our ass! So we really showed her, didn't we!!!11!!!1!"

People who say that deserve a very swift and solid kick in the ass.

I have a hard time caring who bombed Saudi oil - Bolton or no Bolton.

Attaboys are for dogs and toddlers, so I guess that fits.
