Say what you want about her, and I haven’t watched Rachel Maddows show in many years, but at least it always looked liked she and her staff worked on each broadcast for at a full day. It’s highly prepared researched and scripted. . CNN’s prime time shows look like they just wing it and don’t really care lol

Maddow is chief conspiracy theorist and hypester number one. No news there anymore!

and even she seemed skeptical when that liar Lawrence O'Donnell lied about having heard that Russian oligarchs helped Trump get a loan...

None of what you said is true.

except all of it is... and he was lying and he got his ass nailed over it. His over use of "if this is true" shows he was himself skeptical and knew it was not a air worthy. do you believe he was right to run with it? Yes or No? and to me that meadow did not really believe it...

well He gave a half apploogy... he was likely forced to by his bosses!

In doing so proved what I said... that he knew or should have known it was not air ready.

And i did not go bonkers.... I gave that swine meadow a prop (do the kids still say that?) for seeming to not buy it.

Yeah, it will feed you what it thinks you like the most. Which is not necessarily good.

I just noticed that my complaint that CNN seems like they are rambling and aimless is because they basically are banking “breaking news”
.
They are actually really good at “breaking news”
.
I’m actually watching CNN now because of “breaking news”
.
It just seems they have no idea what to do on air when there is no “breaking news”

Listened to one of Maddow's shows yesterday. Listened trying to hear the 'chief conspiracy theorist' characterization from nd33. Didn't hear it. She does shine a light into corners where I might not ordinarily look and she draws connections that are hypothetical. I'm still on the fence, I guess. I appreciate her interviews for giving a wider perspective on issues and I also appreciate the effort to make sense of an administration that bears some resemblance to a freewheeling hurricane whose course is impossible to predict, even for experts with satellite imaging (apologies for referencing 'Dorian' to all of you suffering the uncertainty of what will happen in the next days). I could agree with the 'hypester' characterization. Is it shameless hyping for the purpose of attracting eyes? Or, is it trying to make sense of a perplexing time in which a lot of topsy turvy stuff is going on, whether you agree with that stuff or not? Probably a bit of both. That's the price of celebrity. Having to 'bring it'. But, I don't know that I'd reject her outright.

I have to check her out again, it’s been a long time, but I give her props for not being lazy. Most, or possibly all news shows are amazingly lazy. Left, right, center.
Whether you like her or hate her, you got to admit, there is some effort put into her show.

She was Russia gate for over two years straight using “anonymous sources” and hyped it to the max on things that amounted to nothing. If she’s finally moved on to actually analysing politics, thank fuck for that. Still a corporate shill though. She was ok 10 years ago, before she started getting paid $135k per week.
Not really a news show though...an opinion show.

You do know that a lot of people went to jail for Russia related things. Trump wasn’t one of them, but that’s a different issue. But let’s not pretend there was nothing there.

Deservedly so, for financial fraud. It’s a shame that Obama didn’t take down the Wall St crooks from the financial crisis in the years before.

But as for a Maddows narrative - nothing burger. She and her network have made a lot of money from the hype.

.
Made a lot of money?
.
Covering the news? Like the other news networks?
.
Cambridge Analytica, Facebook Russian bots, financial shenanigans, there were a lot of things happening that were Russian related that needed to be looked at. Good for them for doing their job.

I´ve put most news outlets on FB on snooze because I feel I need a break. I´m an information junkie and read all kinds of news, from rightwing to leftwing.....BBC, Newsweek, CNN, FOX, TIME, ARD, Turkish BBC, etc. etc. but these days Arte is my only news source for the next couple of weeks.

They all have their specific agendas though and one should keep that in mind and try to find the "truth" or at least construct it from the bits and pieces that you´re offered.

" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

I would say he was more right that left... we know he liked Reagan... we know he was opposed to socialism. he was a bit confused at times...("Dear Mr Man" and "Act of God" being late examples).
