HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. — It was three days before the last day of school, and the students inside Ms. Harper’s English classroom were whiling away the last period of the day watching “The Princess Bride” when one of their classmates walked in late and pulled out a gun.

“The only thing he said out loud to the students was, ‘Don’t you move,’” said Nui Giasolli, an 18-year-old senior who was in the class at the time.

In that moment, she recalled, Kendrick Castillo, a gentle teenager fascinated by cars and engineering, lunged to stop the gunman and was shot dead. Eight other students were wounded in the shooting at STEM School Highlands Ranch on Tuesday afternoon, which the authorities said was carried out by two fellow students.

On Wednesday, parents and students across this stunned suburb south of Denver described Mr. Castillo’s actions as the latest act of self-sacrifice by students who now find themselves on the front lines of fighting off gunmen in America’s schools. His death came only a week after a student at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte was killed as he stepped in to stop another gunman on campus.

the fucking NRA cunts and all those 2ndAm idiots are directly responsible for such shit continuing since decades

so yes I stand by my opinion, if they all got shot with their own dumbfuck guns, yeah, well deserved!

oh.... consider that only a little over 1% of Americans are NRA members HAHAHAHA
and somone told me that 1% is not a lot when it comes to killing. it is simply the price we have to pay

3) it is more than fighting off a military it is also maybe a woman should not have to get rapped waiting 30 mins for a cop to show up...

if so, then with the 2nd and that BIG number of circulating guns, rape crimes should be considerably lower in the US than other nations, right?

RIGHT??

but crime statistics show the opposite... Duh!

the US ranks pretty low on that scale. and sure there might be different ways on what counts as rape in the judical system (Sweden ranks very high because of that) and one has to be carful to compare the numbers. but the pink elephant in the room is:

GUNS DO NOT HAVE A POSITIVE IMPACT!

ANYTHING ELSE IST JUST DUMBFUCK FOX NONSENSE REPEATED BY CLOWNS UNABLE TO THINK FOR THEMSELVES

guns do not lower crime rates but boost them. that is not rocket science. any idiot should understand that.
if potential rape victims have easier access to guns, then also the potential rapist has.
I could make the counter argument to you, that it is way easier to rape a girl if you have a gun at hand you point to her head...

How dumb do you have to be to not see that?

GUNS INCREASE CRIMES

so no one has to tell me to be mad at such trash, I know that all by myself. cause only fucked up NRA and FOX bots are uncapable to think themselves and always need someone to tell them what to think. they are so dumb that they even project this model onto others, cause they know nothing else. it reveals how their simplistic world works LOL

But you did notice in the article that you linked, that they got the guns from Erickson's parents. (May have stolen the guns from the parents) Proves my point that guns need to be secured and gun owners need to be proactive to keep their weapons secured. So likewise perhaps because it is a “leftie” you can join us in helping prevent these kind of situations in a bipartisan sane manner. Adding the same type of registrations and fees and insurance and tests as basic transportation for the sake of public safety. If him being a libtard or whatever makes it a “homerun” for you then cool. Blast that he’s a leftie all day long it doesn’t matter, as long as we get sane gun policies.

All we need is a law that says you are responsible for anything done with your gun. That will incentivize people to keep their guns secured.

Recently here in Gun Loving Texas a bartender was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor for serving alcohol to Spencer Hight, who then went to a party and shot and killed 8 people.

If Gun Loving Texans think a bartender has some responsibility for shootings, then certainly whomever owns a gun used in a shooting has responsibility.

Hold the owner of the gun(s) used in any crime - ANY CRIME - responsible in part for whatever the crime is. If someone uses your gun to go commit murder, you should be charged as an accessory to murder. It was YOUR fault that YOU didn't secure your gun properly.

A law like this would absolutely, positively prevent some murders and other gun crimes.

Tracking guns with at least the minimum criteria given to cars with registrations and Insureance and yearly fees and mandatory testing along with background checks would certainly make anyone buying them more careful in its care. And just as certain cars have to be “street legal” make semi-automatic and more dangerous or concealable weapons meet stricter criteria to purchase than a hunting riffle.

hmmm... let me think... I try to think within an American mindset now

hmmm...

ahh! got it!

by handing out free guns to toddlers and every single kid in kindergarden (after enlisting them in a well regulated milita of course)
because then chances are very high, that the future shooter would have killed himself or got killed by another kid before even reaching school age

genius. the forefathers... the 2nd... the NRA... Americans... GENIUS!

The vast majority of all firearms are "semi-automatic" including many "hunting rifles".

You can’t. All you can do is mitigate. Just like when getting in a commercial passenger plane you must go through a metal detector. A knife will cut, a car will kill people even a ladder will hurt people and workplaces will insist ladders meet criteria and are rated to prevent injuries. All anyone can do is mitigate to prevent injuries. Cam we agree to do that? Why fight that?
