That's the problem, the NRA shouldn't be creating any type of laws......

MAGA fucks do not understand democracy

wow. for one the NRA doesn't create ANY laws any more than Planned Parenthood or the NAACP or NOW... or any other civil rights groups...

Oh and that is HOW a Representative republic works. many civil rights law were passed due to advocacy groups pushing for them.

the first part lacks basic understanding and/or misses key points.

I Need to go over this and help you understand:

1) OK so what? we are all wiped out? why do you care? In fact you wished death on all NRA members...classy!

2) tell that to other countries with a far superior military that got their ass handed to them by people with Micky Mouse guns. (and you know we would kill one and pick up their gun)

2-a) if they are mickey mouse then who cares if people have them...harmless pee shooters?

3) it is more than fighting off a military it is also maybe a woman should not have to get rapped waiting 30 mins for a cop to show up...

4) if there was an uprising or whatever some of the US military would side with the people.

rememebr the people that wrote the 2A did not just get home from a turkey hunt...they just won a war... it is meant to give the PEOPLE a chance in such an event. The fact that you ASSUME it would never work is not a argument.

IMO, this argument is so flawed. It's interesting coming from a culture that is predominately anti-gun and looking in at your ridiculous arguments. The mass shootings continue, the deaths of children continue, cops shooting innocent people continues and yet here you are stating you want your guns just in case you might one day feel the need to take on a 'far superior military'.

If you're going to refer to people as 'scum', at least have a reason to do so.

Totally flawed - and coming from someone who posted on the Newtown thread right after that horrific slaying of little children that "guns are fun toys" - unforgivable comment during such a sad and tragic event.

I ask them, how are they going to protect anyone if they cant even get their diabetes medication. I have never held a gun in my life, but im pretty sure i could figure it out, and im pretty sure that diet and exercise are a better option to most Americans to survival than the NRA

To be fair, everything has the potential to become a weapon, even things that are fun. But guns are designed to kill, they should never be treated as a toy, even at the shooting range.

most guns...like 95% never kill... (that includes in war or legal use) and even then >99% of the time guns are used no one is killed. The term "TOY" may be proactive but it simply means they have a recreational use. You may have fear of guns or like some here flat out Paranoia.. but unless you are in combat or doing something you should not be doing they are only dangerous when misused.

we can look at the several cases where some garbage broke into someones home and they got shot and the family of the scum is all crying "Boo--whoop.... he was just trying to get money for shoes..." or "people would not give him stuff...." or "why did they have to use a gun..." and pretending like the garbage relative was the victim... my main concern is that the shooter not feel bad and hope there was not too much mess... (7 pints may not sound like much but if makes a mess)

and the NRA is a civil rights group! And NO they DO NOT defend crimial use of guns PERIOD.

It's not about fearing guns, it's about the fact they are just not necessary. Even if 1% of all guns are used to kill then that's a huge number, and a gun can be used to kill more than one person too, so it's not even necessarily 1 gun = 1 life. As I said before anything has the potential to become a weapon. Here in the UK a man who stabbed a burglar to death was found to have lawfully killed him. No guns involved. No need. (source)

I think the NRA deserves to keep going. It can be a great thing. But boy its leadership has been nutballs. Im surprised Wayne LaPierre hasn't been kicked on his ass a long time ago. It has become a partisan nutjob organization instead of the potential it has in responsible gun ownership.

Goes without saying. It should be spearheading responsible gun legislation instead of being an ally one a political organization and gun makers or pandering to anyone for the sake of a buck. I dont even know what to make of its taking money from Russian propandists. Its all so bomkers. Which perfectly mirrors the political organization its gone to bed with.
