I don't know about all that. But I do get the impression that if one doesn't think like him then everything about that individual needs to be dismissed. That kind of thinking makes me extremely uncomfortable.

Not sure if you're making a funny or not. But for me personally, that comment was directed at Dawkins, but I'm like that across the board.

I don't see an abolishment of a concept but simply a transferance of the same idea over to something else that others don't fully understand. I mean I get and support that more science needs to take a forefront in leadership. But the complete and utter dismissing large groups of people for being inconvenient just screams ssdd to me. Just one big circle gross azzed circle.

No, not trying to be funny but the comment seemed aimed at Dawkins but in context of the comment that it was
In reply too seemed to fit that too. I wasn't sure if the irony in your reply to Freaky was intentional or not.

My problem is that once you realize that the earth is flat (laugh if you want to) then you realize that everything that has been told to us is a lie. And that the scientists just make up these numbers and these ideas-- anything to omit God. I used to believe all of that as well but now I see that we have to question all of this that has been fed to us, especially if it makes no sense. Flat earth makes more sense. Creationism makes more sense. To me anyway, maybe not to you. It makes more sense to me that man never landed on the moon. How could he with the Van Allen radiation belts? I understand why you believe what you believe and I know that people love to look at religious people at simple minded buffoons but I'm starting to look at all these "smarty pants" types as unwilling to question what makes no GD sense-- like, do you think we're spinning right now? Do you think the Sun is 93 million miles away? --- And I'm not trying to be disrespectful to you- I just think that the idea that nothing exploded and created everything is some buuuullshiit. confused

That's pure gold. He obviously doesn't actually believe what he's saying. I mean, I'm pretty sure he'd have been recaptured by now if he did. But the lengths some people go to to troll other people never fails to amuse me. I know I'm veering off topic but I sincerely hope that we get more threads like the one in that link. I'm not sure if this can be topped but maybe someone will start a thread about how human life is just a hoax perpetrated by one of the Gods or how old age pensioners should be drowned at birth to prevent them taking over the planet. Something truly stupid that makes no sense and doesn't require a single shred of proof. Come on, Org. Entertain me! smile

It's my opinion. I came to this opinion from looking back to his lyrics before and after the JW period. And I took into consideration the things stated by Christian who did know him and what theY said about thier recent conversation with him. JW and Christiany ia completely different! I do try to be mindful not to make a statement that would make Prince mad at me if he were here.

Why?
I asked Prince what he was planning to do. He told me , I'm going to look for the ladder. I asked him what that meant. All he said was, sometimes it snows in April. - book D.M.S.R.

Don't know about that but it seems to be a religion that believes in some truly bizarre things but to be fair I'm not aware of a religion that doesn't share that trait so it's all the same to me in that sense.

Always interesting to see adherents of one religion shake their heads in amazement at the beliefs of another.

I'm hard pressed to think of anything in religion that's more creepy but in terms
of feasibility when put into
Context of belief systems that include elephant headed humans, dirt men, rib women, magic fruit, talking snakes, 500 year old boat builders who not only get two of every single species including endemic ones from undiscovered lands into said boat and keep them all from eating each over and alive for 6 weeks with the help of just a handful of others and one small window to chuck all the shit out whilst a global flood that covers every mountain top abates, virgins giving birth to carpenters destined to be zombie rabbis, flying horses and Scientology, I'd say all bets are off.

Prince could not have been in alignment with JW beliefs because JWs don't think you have a soul. They think you die and that's it. God will reincarnate you if you were good enough. Prince definitely believed he had a soul, he said it many times. Josh Welton, a Christian, said from his conversations with Prince , he knew that Prince was a believer in Jesus biggrin I love you Prince Rogers Nelson and I will see you in heaven heart

.

Very nicely said, Olivia! thumbs up!

.

I often wonder if Prince struggled with the JW faith. The JW seems to contradict a lot of what Prince believed in. confused

Richard Dawkins is a wonderful human being, one who is not afraid to stand up to the bullshit dogma churches and FALSE religions. All religions are false created by bored humans as an excus efor some groups to lord it over others. But at least some of the older and more established religions and sects have at least softened their stance, unlike all this born again cult bullshit that is under 200 years old like

.

Mormonism - 1820s/30s invented

Jehovahs Witness - 1870s or 1880s I think

Christian Science - 1800s sometime

Christadelphlians

Elim

Cult christianity like Destiny church, Moonies, Branch Dravidians

Prosperity Gospel churches (Negro sto'front supaprotestant crap)

Televangelists and church pimps for above (Jakes, Long, Dollar, Hinn, Meyer, Roberts, Tamaki et al) These people are BLOOD SUCKING PARASITES feeding of the estering carcass of the vulnerable.

African money and revival churches that root out witches, voodoo and Kindokey.

Wacko church sects like Universal church (Brazilian money cult that promotes holy oil from Israel which is Chinese made cooking oil lol)

Modern terrorist types of Islam (Medieval and 19th century Islam was not hell bent on destroying the world)

Modern terrorist style ultra judaism in Israel - which is turning palestine in to Apartheid ville. Sorry I ahve to say even some jews have gone too far

.

I think all religion should be banned and humans should all be atheists. What is good about religion, all it does is cause wars and divisions, atheism does not. Look at all the crap in Syria and Iraq, reason is ISLAM! War in Nigeria - Money church Christians vs craze Muslim death cult.

Even in Burma/Myanmar, a NZ was sent to jail for showing a flier with a Budda wearing ehadphones. Religion is divisive bullshit. Apersonal one on one relationship with a theistical being should be enough. The world will become peaceful when the UN bans religion of all stripes.

.
