We were right about the Clinton Foundation

One of the most damning email leaks so far has been this one in which Douglas Band - Bill Clinton's aide who worked at the Clinton Foundation - expressed concern about the questions being asked by Chelsea Clinton while she was working there. Chelsea obviously didn't know what her parents were using the foundation for and in this email Douglas Band goes out of his way to point out to the lawyers how much money the Clintons have made through the Foundation. Big companies donate to the Foundation in order to get influence over the Clintons. Bill and Hillary are essentially selling favors. That's what this email confirms and it's what those of us who pay attention have been saying all along. We were right. The zombie Clinton defenders were wrong. Sounds like Chelsea Clinton herself was in the dark and showing some unwelcome signs of ethical concern when this email was written. She was young then of course. She now works on Wall Street so I'm sure she understands the game and is comfortable with it. Here's a long video where Cenk Uygur breaks it down.

It doesn't matter, even if Hillary were to be found guilty of murder her supporters would still vote for her.

Hell, if the second coming of Hitler were to run for president as a Democrat they would STILL vote Democrat.

In fact, that's exactly what Farrakhan called Hillary lol

“Mrs. Clinton backed the Crime Bill and then called our young people superpredators. Of course she apologized, but just a minute,” Farrakhan said. “See Hitler could’ve said to the Jews after Auschwitz, ‘I’m so sorry.’ Would that be enough to satisfy you?”

Interesting that suddenly the media is reporting that the race is tight. Seems to me they are just trying to get more people out to vote for Clinton. As if they are trying to scare voters into voting for her. What a sad and desperate move.

I would think you would, seeing as how he's the guy that broke down the emails and railed against the Clinton Foundation in the OP.

BTW, I watched the entire video. It's a bunch of hooey, IMO. Uygur is incredulous that President Bill Clinton engaged in FOR PROFIT speeches and books. FOR PROFIT?!?!?!?!?!? CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!?!?!?!? Why oh why didn't President Clinton price his services so that he would only break even or better yet - lose money?!?!?!?

It's good when a Clinton does it and bad when a Trump does it.

Did you know that I have voted for both Donald Trump AND Hillary Clinton this year? I'm either confused or the most woke bae in America. (Full disclosure: I don't actually know what "woke bae" means but all the cool young hipsters use it.)

I think you missed the whole point. Douglas Band is reminding the lawyers of all the money he's helped Bill Clinton to make because he wants it to be understood what the arrangement is. He expects to get paid for his efforts later in consultancy fees. Those consultancy fees come when he secures meetings with Hillary for these various businesses. Those businesses want special favours. It's obvious Chelsea Clinton didn't understand the quid pro quo. That's what Band meant when he said "these are serious people". It means they expect something for their money. And if Chelsea Clinton starts to realize that much of this charity (the Clinton Foundation) is actually just a slush fund then he's worried about the repercussions. I expect once the election is over we'll hear more details on all this. But before then the media will want to keep it quiet. That New York Times writer obviously knows how wrong the whole thing is but he could only say it on his private Twitter account. He can't say it in the newspaper.... yet.

Depends how you do it. If so-called public servants (which is what politicians are supposed to be) are making policy decisions in order to line their own pockets (that includes their husbands and friends) then it's obviously not good.

The list of examples of donors to the Clinton Foundation getting special favors granted when Hillary was Secretary of State is exhaustive. Most deplorably (yes, let's use that word) I think was the arms she arranged to be sold to her Saudi donors even though email leaks reveal she knew the Saudis were funding jihadists like ISIS throughout the Middle East. Those weapons are now being used to kill civilians in Yemen. Those arms sales were very profitable. You tell me if it's good or not.

Doesn't that work both ways, though? Hillary haters will think they must vote for Trump or whomever to keep her out of the White House. I have watched a few Trump speeches in the past few days and he is urging people to vote as well.

Donald Trump has cheated on every woman he has ever married. All three of them.

He conceived a child with one woman while married to another woman.

He bragged about trying to screw another man's wife.

And yet, Hillary Clinton is the morally corrupt candidate?

LOL - we had the same thought.

Everyone even remotely interested in giving Trump the vote should watch 'You've been Trumped' - a documentary about his building of a golf course in Scotland. I haven't seen 'You've been Trumped too' which has just been released but I've included a link to an article about it. A 92 year old woman left without running water for over five years is not something to be proud of yet Trump says 'she reminds him of his mother' - I mean really? - can you even imagine Trump's mother being left to wash for over five years with a flannel of cold water from the kitchen sink? The man is sick - there is no need at all to make up anything about him - as you both say 'He does all the work himself'.

We are all okay, as long as "we" are the ones living on top of the empire of eternal war. - Jaawwnn

So you can be corrupt but have morals?

Bill Clinton is not runnng for president. But when he was, I seem to remember the right making a BIG deal out of his infidelity. Funny that now, they think infidelity doesn't matter. I believe we call that "hypocrisy".

Donald Trump cheated on every single person he's ever been married to, and tried to bang another man's wife. I bet I know what you would do if he ever tried that on your wife.

Donald Trump has lied about his affairs. He claims to have never met the Playmate that he cheated on Melania with, and viola! Pictures of them together immediately surfaced.

Donald Trump lied about sexually assaulting women, and we have multiple witnesses who all state that many of the women he assaulted told them about it immediately. In the case of the woman he assaulted in Palm Beach, we have five separate witnesses who all say the lady told them immediately after it happened what Trump had tried to do to her. We also have a witness who was there when the lady bumped into Melania Trump and that Melania asked the lady why they (the Trumps) hadn't seen her in so long, shooting down Melania's claim that she never met her.

Lies, all lies.

And we have Trump's admission ON TAPE that he tried to screw another man's wife.

Every single man I know would take care of Trump if he tried that on their wives. Or if he assaulted their daughters the way he has assaulted multiple women. I'm not leaving "others" out of this because there is right, and there is wrong.

If you're going to dismiss Trump's infidelities and assaults because he's not you, then I can only shake my head.

Unfortunately presidential infidelity is not a big deal to most Americans, because it's been so common. People care more about what presidents do on the job, not in the bedroom.

JFK is considered as one of the greatest presidents of all time, and as you know he cheated on his wife constantly ... Marilyn Monroe, Mimi Alford, Judith Exner, Ellen Rometsch, etc.

Thomas Jefferson ... need I say more than Sally Hemings?

Ike and Kay Summersby.

LBJ and Alice Glass.

FDR and Lucy Mercer.

Warren Harding and Nan Britton.

Bill Clinton and Monica.

James Buchanan and ... well, let's not go there. lol

Well, it would be AWESOME if everything we know about Trump's cheating and infidelities is everything there is. But what if there's more? And what if, as president, his buddies in Russia find out some really bad stuff he did when he was a private citizen? And those buddies say, "Hey Donald - we know we supported you and sure, Putin loves you, but.....unless you do some things for us, we're going to release some really bad stuff about you".

Do you really think anyone would say, "Hmmmm. Trump is now president. OK, everything he did as a private citizen is now off limits!" LOL, I bet you don't.

We also know a tiger doesn't change its stripes. Donald Trump has a record of cheating on his wives that is decades long. Do you think he's going to quit now? Do you think he's going to turn down all the trim that is offered to the most powerful man on the earth? I hardly doubt it! And all that means is: (a) scandal; and/or (b) blackmail material for our enemies.

Face it - Donald Trump is everything and more that Bill Clinton has been claimed to be.

I am damn sure going to "go there" with respect to Trump and how any husband/father would react to him. I guaran-damn-tee you I would have dealt with Trump had he done or tried any of that stuff with my wife, or my daughter. In fact, I have dealt with a couple of such episodes. It didn't end well for the other side, let's just say that.

I can also tell you without any doubt whatsoever that there is no way in God's green earth I would EVER support they guy that tried to put a shot on my wife, or the kid that hit my daughter, if they were running for an office. In fact, I would tell everyone I could, in any and every way that I could, what scuzzballs these people are.

So why should I think of Trump any differently, just because it wasn't my wife he tried to screw, or my daughter that he assaulted?

I do not agree that there is anything to be worried with re: Hillary Clinton. As I've said many times before, she is the most-investigated woman on the planet. The GOP and other conservative organizations have spent tens of years, and $$$million of dollars, investigating everything from Travelgate to Whitewater to Benghazi to emails to you name it. And the end result is ZERO. No charges. No NOTHING.

Either the GOP and its conservative minions have been absolute morons for the last 25 years, or there just isn't anything there. I tend to believe the latter.
