You want to make a difference in the war against racism? VOTE

Get educated. And VOTE.

Vote OUT people that work to deny benefits of citizenship to all citizens. Vote OUT people that want to make it harder for you to vote in the first place. Vote OUT people that have to resort to Photoshopping to show they have friends of color:

http://www.addictinginfo....oto-image/

Vote OUT people that have to use stock photography in an attempt to convince you they care:

http://thedailybanter.com...sting-day/

Vote IN people that will actually work to make a difference. BUT VOTE.

We are a nation of laws. For a long time, those laws were slanted. But over time, those laws have been repealed or revised. However, there will ALWAYS be people looking to go back to the old ways, and they will try to find loopholes or make new laws to allow them to do that.

DON'T LET THEM DO THAT. OUTVOTE THEM.

Because if we do, there's nothing they can do about it.

I highly recommend absentee voting. Its easy breazy. Plus you can look over the ballot and figure out who is who before you send it in. No lines, no id needed just bout dollar 1/2 in stamps. biggrin biggrin

I see the DNC as the more racist (or rather most race exploiting) now and throughout history.

It is almost always the Democrats and Liberals that use Race to push their own enrichment.

It is almost always Republicans and Conservatives that want all people to thrive and do well.

So yeah anyone that truly wants equality ought to vote republican.

(and the proof is in the fact that it is Democrat that use fear tactics and the promise of free stuff to get support. As we saw in the OP. The truth about these programs is they are designed to keep people on them. they are created to make people dependant for generations)

No one is coming for your abortion: they just want common-sense abortion regulations: background checks, waiting periods, lifetime limits, take a class, and a small tax.

If you are in Texas and early voting is a snap! they have several places all over the county (Harris?) that you can vote at. Just have your photo ID and if you have it your Voter Card (they can look up your precinct with just your ID). It might be too late to absentee...

The problem with voting OUT people is you've got to vote FOR someone else. And that's how people end up supporting politicians and parties that don't really represent them and we're all just sat around complaining about the state of politics while bickering over political parties we don't really like anyway. We need a new system.

I'm not sure about term limits actually. I think one of the problems in a democracy is that the elected representatives have short term incentives. They are elected for a limited time and they aren't guaranteed to remain in office after that. So they are incentivized to do things that will produce short term benefits, regardless of long term costs, so that they might win re-election. In other words, they are only really interested in things going well while they are in office. They don't necessarily care what happens far down the road. They want things that will produce immediate short-term effects so they can win elections. That's one of the downsides to representative democracies. Terms limits might exacerbate that problem.

I agree with you. That's why I really think voting sucks but I do it anyway, for the most part. Oh, and those short term benefits you speak of in a word is money. It's all about political fundraising and kickbacks. Those people could care less what the "little guy" wants because the little guy isn't raising the funds they want/need to have in their treasure chest that enables them to rule their corner of the Earth.

Those websites show how pathetic the GOP is. Until they go back to being the "party of Lincoln" (and stop with the holier-than-thou religious crap), they can kiss my black ass two times. I'll be voting them and their tea party thug-buddies O-U-T.
