I believe he was originally taken in Syria.

Is anyone still under the impression there's free press out there without intimidation out there?

ISIS stands largely against HAMAS, they even accused of them of apocstacy... but who knows.

This is awful. Though, I don't believe the journalist has been 'turned' or 'brainwashed' or otherwise ISIS is being such a dick about it, every goal of every operation they made is criminally unjustified and unreasonable, and just to say, this is never what Islam is about, these guys just make an Abrahmic religion look so bad.

They were discussing this on the news and were saying the video is too graphic to view. The USA government is still trying to confirm if this is fact or bullshit.

You just reduced every Palestinian to being child aged.
Only a small percentage of those deaths were children, most victims were combatant aged.

While the world foamed at the mouth over Gaza, nobody paid attention to Syria or Iraq.

What had you seen about Iraq since Obama announced action there, until now?

He's factually correct. These organizations all splintered from the same movement, and have involved the same ideologies, and often, same people. They are literally the same group using Al-Banna's principles, and Qutb's reformed Islamism.

The world isn't that simple though, and they take advantage of this by creating many heads to the same dragon. The timeline is complicated but this isn't hyperbole.

We'll pundits on T.V., gov't reps in the U.S., as well as everyday people I encounter, discuss that region and how tragic the palistine/isreal situation has been, is, and will continue to be. The U.N. as well as the Obama admin have condemned the U.N. school bombings by is real as well as Hama's(sp?) actions.

This is an american citizen being beheaded. Of course were going to make a stink about one of our own.

I didn't hear u say or do ANYTHING when my grandpa got bashed in the head with a brick. But I bet u made a helluva stink when that one person in your family was wronged in some way.

Theres a tragedy pie on the table and a pie knife. Please tell us oh king of tragedy how we are supposed to divide up this tragic pie so that it fits your correct proportions of tragic reaction. Please dictate to us how to cut so that we can react tragically with what are your correct proportions.

As opposed to repeating the propaganda of Hamas?

Do you logically, in your heart, think the entire death toll were children? Can you explain how Israel didn't manage to kill a single Hamas member, or adult aged Palestinian with their supposedly indiscriminate bombs?

The game is one group will call the other too moderate or splinter off to take the heat off another wing that's gaining legitemacy. Bickering and infighting is largely about power, or strategical differences. Fatah and Hamas are examples of real feuds developing between groups under the same umbrella.

1) There are no consistent death tolls yet. NY Times, Al Jazeera, BBC, etc. have cast doubts on the initial numbers.

2) International Law considers under 18 to be non-combatant aged youths.

3) The majority of deaths were Males, 20-29. Hamas wants you to pretend they're all 15, and get hysterical. Good job! Hamas FB page directed it's social media followers that "“Anyone killed or martyred is to be called a civilian from Gaza or Palestine, before we talk about his status in jihad or his military rank. Don’t forget to always add ‘innocent civilian’ or ‘innocent citizen’ in your description of those killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza.” http://www.memri.org/repo...0/8076.htm

4) Can you tell me how many Hamas militants died? Isn't curious that you can't?

You think? Then where's the .Gov link to the site I copied it from?

Don't you think ISIS in Syria/Iraq is a valid topic? Disinterested in those death tolls? Why are you in a thread that has nothing to do with Palestinians, voicing hysteria about Palestinian children, and using the very tactics Hamas indirectly requested of it's social media supporters.

not even close. similarties, of course. but en EQUATION sign "=" is absolutley ridiculous

I have no time right now, so just a few unsorted thoughts that come to mind... Muslim brotherhood is over 80 years old.. Al Quada was created by the US in Afghanistan a few decades agao... ISIS was a direct reaction to the 2003 invation... Hamas is an ELECTED goverment, if you like it or not... Hamas has support and allies in other nations/goverments... Al Quada distanced themselves from ISIS more than once (though some roots are shared of course)

hell, by now Aiman al Sawahiri and Abu Bakr Bagdadi are deep enemies... while al-quaeda is tagged an official terrorist organization in most nations, the Muslim brotherhood is only tagged as one in 5 countries (besides Russia only Arabic countries.... go figure)... ISIS wants a caliphate.. Hamas wants a free Gaza strip... and so on and so on and so on

so no he's not factually correct

Nothing you said debunks the FACT that they are all splinter organizations from the Muslim Brotherhood.

ISIS wants a caliphate in the Levant region.

The Levant region includes the Gaza Strip, Israel, Lebanon, Jordan, parts ot Turkey. Not just Iraq/Syria.

Hamas call for a Caliphate:

Hamas Charter, Article 2 & 11:

"The Islamic Resistance Movement is one of the wings of Moslem Brotherhood in Palestine. Moslem Brotherhood Movement is a universal organization which constitutes the largest Islamic movement in modern times."

"“… Palestine is an Islamic Waqf throughout all generations and to the Day of Resurrection. Who can presume to speak for all Islamic Generations to the Day of Resurrection? This is the status [of the land] in Islamic Shari’a, and it is similar to all lands conquered by Islam by force, and made thereby Waqf lands upon their conquest, for all generations of Muslims until the Day of Resurrection."

http://avalon.law.yale.edu/20th_century/hamas.asp

Fathi Hammad: We anticipate further victories, in which we shall liberate our land, Allah willing. We shall liberate our Al-Aqsa Mosque, and our cities and villages, as a prelude to the establishment of the future Islamic Caliphate. Therefore, brothers and sisters, we are at the threshold of a global Islamic civilization era. The fuel and spearhead of this era will be Gaza, and its mujahideen and leaders will be from Gaza, Allah willing.

http://www.memri.org/clip/en/0/0/0/0/0/0/4063.htm

ISIS:

Abu Masub Al-Zarqawi was an Al-Qaeda leader, born a Palestinian-Jordanian, pardoned by Jordan as a favor to Muslim Brotherhood, for Millenium attempt to target US and Israeli tourists http://www.independent.co...81622.html member of Hizb ut Tahrir, and later formed Al-Tawhid to target Jews in actions not supported by Al-Qaeda. Connected to Abu Nidal Organization. http://www.nytimes.com/20...mlAttacked Mombassa Hotel targeting Israeli tourists, Jewish community centers in Casablanca, and failed at a dirty bomb plot in Ammon Jordan. Terror network became ISIS.

Abu Abdullah Al-Rasgid Al-Baghdadi, a figurehead, now dead,

Abu Ayyub Al-Masri - Egyptian, connected to Muslim Brotherhood, Islamic Jihad

Al-Qaeda:
Bin Laden - Member of Saudi wing Muslim Brotherhood.

Abdullah ahmed Abdullah - Muslim Brotherhood.

Ayman Al-Zawahiri - Member Muslim Brotherhood.
Saif Al-Adel - Member Muslim Brotherhood.

Hamas (An Acrony fo Islamic Resistance Movement in Arabic):
Shiek Ahmed Yassin founder - Studied in Cairo, active Muslim Brotherhood member. Formed Hamas as their local arm in 1987. Took credit for suicide bombings.

Muslim Brotherhood:

Hussen Al-Banna - Called for an Islamic Caliphate from Spain to Indonesia.

Note these are terror networks. What typically happens is one group acts more extreme while another plays up a diplomacy angle, and they pretend to split, which advancing towards the same goals.
