One time this priest and this JW got into a fist-fight...

No, not a joke, it's for real!

Doesn't anybody find this kind of funny?

(Do look at the video... the old man down the street who witnessed the fight is priceless if only for using the word "commencing.")

As for the case in question, who knows? I don't think the Baptist eyewitness is unbiased, the rosary comment is telling. But it does sound like the priest needs anger management therapy. He shouldn't have pursued the JW, even if provoked. It seems that he is an ex priest, not in good standing with the RCC, but trying to keep his congregation. There could be some issues there too, I suppose.

Aberrant behavior happens across all demographics. Jehovah's Witnesses as a group are very peaceful people but aren't immune to committing violence. Google "Jehovah's Witness murders"for some examples.

Would be nice if the three of them would sit down and patch up their differences over a spot of bourbon on the rocks, like fine Southern gentlemen...

But I guess this is going to end up in court...

PS. I didn't see the part that he was an ex-priest. Sure enough, that throws a little different angle on the story.

The rosary comment WAS biased, but kinda funny just the same. Or maybe just because of the folksy way the old guy says it all. lol

The priest was hurt bad enough to be out of commission for 2 weeks? lol
He needs to be court ordered into therapy.

Hmm, this reminds me of the time some idiot dude tried to pick a fight with my husband... good thing he didn't throw a punch. There was no provocation, we were leaving a building peacefully and dude wasn't minding his own business... he was a lot smaller than my husband, so it was dumb of him to try to pick the fight. I guess he thought we were fair game because we wouldn't fight back?

Well, DH stood up to the guy, with words. He said well, we'll leave if you would let us leave... finally he did.

The guy in question reminded me of my ex-husband, who always made these snotty little remarks to guys who were bigger than him, and then of course got a beat-down. I think he was sort of a masochist though. lol

I'd like to see the JW and the priest side-by-side, so I can size up who this guy thought he could pick on.

Typical old guy out on his porch, watching the neighborhood goings-ons... maybe he has some issues with the church, like that parishioners park on his lawn or something...
