Brill! woot!

Can you shrink it down to 65 x 65 pixels neutral

wink

Yes, I can, but what should I do with it ? What I mean is, doesn't it need to reside somewhere, like photobucket or something ? Or are avatars uploaded to the org server ? In which case why don't I have one myself ?

I've done 2 versions for you - one is 65x42 pixels, maintains the aspect ratio; the other is 65x65.
Now what shall I do with them ?
I can't email them to you as you don't have the 'email through the org' option on your profile.

Org note me or something if you want me to send them on to you.

hrmph I was just messing around pal! lol

I thought you were too biggrin

I can't have that as my pic. It looks like a medieval instrument of death! death

lol

Thanks anyway hug

Yes I know you were, and I was too. lol

By the way, it's not a medieval instrument of any sort, it's actually a dynamo.

You're right it is a Greenslade, but it's actually a model 49a, thought you'd have spotted that (note the screw holes in the legs for fixing it to a work table, the 49 had lugnuts).

no no no! no no no! Mr.Antiques Bloody Roadshow!

N.B. That is not a genuine model 49a, because if you look at the legs, the screw in the right of the picture is missing!

That's impossible coz the model 49a comes with wield-lock thread tightener screws which are one piece with the leg hence, can never be separated from the leg unless the leg itself is broken hmph!

cool

What are you talking about ? The screw on the right is present and correct, it's the one on the left (no, the other left) that's missing.
If that's not a genuine 49a then what are you suggesting, that it's a bootleg ?

Besides, I'm pretty sure the wield-lock thread tightener screws were not used on the 49a, as they didn't become popular until circa 1935, and the 49a was discontinued in '31 due to the slight deviation in the galvanometric deflection.
