Dating: Quality or Quantity? Is it possible that some people date for sheer numbers rather than hang out (or have a relationship) with one person they are attracted to and have a lot in common with?
I'm curious because I've seen a lot of this around lately. So...how about it guys and gals...is it the quality or quantity of people to date?

I'm extremely picky, so I'd definitely say quality.

so so so quality. quantity is of no class. though they do build up “If I can shoot rabbits/then I can shoot fascists”

Until I was about 26 it was quantity.Who wants to be tied down at 20?
Well I at least didnt. You can learn alot more from say 30 than you can 3.

quality.
i would rather have 1 good date with a man who is intelligent and interesting then 10 dates with faceless idiots. you're only as old as you feel..............so how old do i feel
Now that food has replaced sex in my life, I can't even get into my own pants.

Quality for sure....But for some it depends on what time in your life you are in and what your frame of mind is....I have always preferred quality over quanity.

I never had a problem with the idea, though at one point during my first serious relationship when we were thinking of marriage I did have my doubts, but I think that's only natural and not age related. I say you gotta do whatever feels right.

Quality. I'm 28 and as I've gotten older, I'm less interested in being a playboy (although God knows I sowed enough wild oats to put Quaker out of business). I'd rather be with one good person than run around with alot of lesser quality women.

When I was dating it was more quantity than quality, because I was out there to find someone that I wanted to date on a more regular basis. You sort of have to weed through people, which means date after date after date... which I don't like. I hate dating.
I would prefer quality, but you often find yourself not immediately connecting with anyone after a date or two. Dating sucks. There has to be an easier way.

i always wanted to date for a relationship. Some people have asked me out and I would reject them because they look like they are not my type or seem like they just date for the hell of it. I've been waiting for someone who is looking for a serious relationship since I was 16, sooooo I hope it's not when i'm 30.

Case said: AzureStarr said: I would prefer quality, but you often find yourself not immediately connecting with anyone after a date or two. . Sadly....that's VERY true Yeah... last year I found myself dating one person after another and it's hard. Dating is a very difficult thing for people, of both sexes, I think. If a girl dates a few guys, at the same time, trying to determine whether or not there is something there on some level, she's labeled a "slut". If a guy dates a few girls, trying to find the same thing, he's immediately labled a "player". The problem I fell into is that I was being labeled as such for dating, and started feeling shitty for seeing a few people and going and doing things with them (no sex... people seem to think that because you go out you're having sex) knowing that I had a date planned with another guy later in the week, and trying to find someone out there for me, that I simply settled for the first person that I connected with on some level and dropped the whole dating thing. Which, wasn't the smartest thing for me to do. However, I can't say whether or not it's much better than getting into that whole dating thing or not... This next time around I'm just gonna sit back and wait. No more dating for me, unless someone really strikes my curiousty and interest first and I feel there really may be something to it.

I co-sign..... HOWEVER.... SOMETIMES, it does take quantity to MEET quality..... Am I alone in this thinking? Cause I have dated many people- but the numbers dwindle when you count the ones who have made it to a seond, third, fourth.... or more date!!!! I am so sick of meeting idiots- they just don't breed quality men anymore! "It's only been an hour since you left me, but it feels like a million days...... I'd crawl on my belly and beg you but you're so far away."
