mike tyson homeless!!! no matter what he did, how he acted and who associated himself with i still feel bad 4 the guy. i am close 2 twenty thousand dollars in debt and out of work in my profession. i have some idea how this guy feels and what he is going through. i loved him as a box and i love him more as a person. could only hope the best 4 this guy. it is just a shame that he could not have been a more positive person in society.
By Anne Campbell, Metro 28 June 2004 He added: 'For two years I have been a bum, truly a bum in the streets. 'I've got nowhere to live. I've been crashing with friends, literally sleeping in shelters. Unsavoury characters are giving me money and I'm taking it. I need it. The drug dealers, they sympathise with me. They see me as some sort of pathetic character.' Tyson, who will be 38 on Wednesday, will fight British boxer Danny Williams on July 30 in an attempt to make some money. But he is so deeply in debt that even the £7.6million to be paid to him by promoter Don King to settle a lawsuit will not lift him out of the red. He said: 'When I had money I was an animal. I was so belligerent. I lost all across the board. My life has been a total waste.' Tyson, who served three years in jail for rape in the 1990s and who bit off part of Evander Holyfield's ear during a 1997 fight, still thinks he can be heavyweight champion again. He added: 'I know I was a tough, bad-ass talking fighter, but I ain't no mob figure. I did my time for the rape. I paid my money to Las Vegas. I paid my dues. 'I ain't the same person I was when I bit that guy's ear off.' 2toratora

Is this true? I ask because of the bottom statement:
2toratora said: He said: 'When I had money I was an animal. I was so belligerent. I lost all across the board. My life has been a total waste.' Does he even know what it means let alone how to say it? He makes Jessica Simpson seem like a mensa student. 'I wuth an animal. I wuth be-be-be-ludacwisp' I think they misquoted.

I feel sorry for him..I know that what he did wasn't correct and maybe i'm a little naive but I attempt to believe that circumstances make a person...and not all of us would make those same decisions but some of us do...no need to judge others for the decisions they make... And having a manager like : doesn't help either ps I forgot the name of his manager spelling edit [This message was edited Mon Jun 28 13:29:40 2004 by AndGodCreatedMe]

I love Mike, but I don't feel bad for him. He's had more wealth than people could ever dream of.
PS: I don't think he ever had the kind of money mentioned in the article. That's probably what he made throughout his career, but if you want to know where that money went you should ask Don King about it.

This isn't exactly true. On the ESPN website they said that he is living in a very small house in Phoenix. Mike is just trying for sympathy.

Stay tuned...
I've always said that once he stops fighting (the only thing he knows how to do), WATCH OUT! As long as he's training for the next fight, he's somewhat controllable. Once that's over, he's over...and he's taking a few unlucky souls with him. His type of personality won't permit him to go out like a biatch, he's going down in a blaze of glory, fighting... Mike is just waiting to EXPLODE! Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Mike Tyson is impossible to feel bad for.Even if you put aside who he is as a person.I remember reading that he had five mansions/houses at once. Two hundred thousand dollar exotic sports cars, bengal tigers, hundred-grand plus for a platnum chain, fur coats,etc...Doesnt matter how much money you start out with.If your spending habits are like that, you will be broke someday.Probably didnt invest in a damn thing either. But I'm sure he has a little stash tucked away somewhere.

i agree. no one deserves tp be homeless. unfortunately, some people earn it. mike wasted his career, his money and his brain. there were other options for him to take but the the ones he chose led him to this.

Jessica fucking Simpson is a mensa student compared to Mikey.... give me a break How much do you really know about Tyson? Granted he has his crazy verbal moments, we all do, but Tyson is actually very well versed and can articulately joust on numerous intellectual matters. I can't argue with you on that coz he fell in my estimation as a man after the Desire Washington case. I was just stating some facts and views about the fighter, not about the despicable act of rape. My apologies if any offence was caused. "..My work is personal, I'm a working person, I put in work, I work with purpose.."
