What style

is your home and does it reflect/suit your lifestyle and spirit?

MIMIMALISM/MODERNIST - Mimimal style - chrome, steel, glass, leather, plastics, functional, uncluttered, smooth & or polished surfaces

TRADITIONAL - English - Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian - refined, sturdy and stately

ETHNIC/EXOTIC - Rustic, hand made/crafted, heavily textured, casual and indigenous styles of the past eg Balinese, Indonesian Mediterranean, wood, stone, bamboo, terracotta, cotton, linen

GLOBAL - Modern, warm, textured and stylishly casual. A blend of contemporary synthetic product with organic indigenous materials. It appreciates a more simple, minimal approach to design - functional. Timbers, leathers, chrome, glass, straight lines, most decorative features however will reflect warmth - candles, floral arrangements, statues

RETRO - Call back to the 60's and 70's, fake furs, large swirls and geometrics, vinyls, loud colour

TROPICAL/PLANTATION - Bright bold and hot colours, cane, wicker, water hyacinth, (pineapples, palm trees, rustic timbers, fun, sunny and casual)

COASTAL - Relaxing pale colours - mostly blues, pale aqua. Beach and oceanic decorative articles, recycled furniture distress painted, limewash and or milk paints

SHABBY CHIC - Distress painted furniture but usual with a hint of French, rococo style consoles, louis chairs, baroque mirrors but in milk paint. Soft pastel colours - pinks, lemons, lilacs, soft greens

ECLECTIC - Blending of styles

I guess I'm global, if anything...very simple and functional (love the Bauhaus philosophy towards design, even if it's not evident in my surroundings), lots of clean, simple lines, very casual. While I don't have any statues or floral arrangements, I do have gobs of candles (and candle holders..lol), and the color and warmth is seen within the drawings, paintings and prints I incorporate throughout...

I think I fall into the "cheap Kmart shit" category, although I didn't see that one listed.

COMPLETE modernist- loads of glass and brushed chrome, vivid color against white, clean. Think art gallery. My lifestyle is relaxed but beverly hills- spirit is always happy!
