i have that novie right here at home with me in fact. i love that film. i'm hoping raimi wil start workin on evil dead III now he's done with spiderman. dunno if he's even interested, but with bubba hotep doing well campbell has found a mainstream audience, well, more mainstream than he did with evil dead I and II. lol he's so quirky. anyway imo it's a good time for another evil dead installment.

Army of Darkness is kinda Evil Dead III though since it continues right where Evil Dead II left off.

I heard something a while back about a Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash movie possibility. Since they already had one with two of those guys, I doubt this would ever happen, though.

true. it'd be cool to see where ash saves human kind [cough] klaatu verata] [cough necktie] from the evil he's unleashed when he took the magic book while NOT uttering the magic words in army of darkness.

i'm thinking we know we're in trouble at the end of 'army' when the harpy/hag follows ash back to the s-mart. other harpy/hags will likely find the same rift in the space-time continuum and swarm earth from wherever that parallel universe is right? will ash lead an army against the final darkness? could he save us? does he ever meet a sheila who doesn't end up somehow possessed by demons? inquiring minds want to know. biggrin

for the first scene i'd start big. some kind of hold-out/stand-off kinda thing with harpies rushing in, over which runs ash's cool narrative as he hands out the s-mart special and deputizes whoever's nearby in the fight against good versus evil.

then some character development as ash realizes what he's doine and, as in evil dead II and II reluctantly shoulders the burden fate has dumped on his life. he's not a man to shy away from a grisly job, our ash. and on his own turf he could be formidable. maybe he stymies the the harpy/hags in the mall entirely, maybe car chases them across the city. maybe he ultimately finds out he has to return the magic book to its sacred resting place back over on the other side/parallel universe to restore the balance and close the portal he's created.
hmm someone has to, right?

If so, how can I get a copy of it?

Abby (the story of a woman possessed!)

It's available as a "Collector's Edition DVD" from a site that is (according to them):

worship Thank you, thank you, thank you. Not too many people remember this movie. I remember my dad taking me to see this movie when I was little. Now I know that I was only 5 years old because the site says the movie will be celebrating its 30th anniversay. What was my dad thinking eek ? I was terrified after seeing that movie, that I would be scared just listening to the commericals for the movie on the radio... sad

Theres already a remake of NOTLD made in 1990 starring Tony Todd, good stuff. They shouldnt make any more remakes tho. Day of the Dead kicked ass it would probably suck if they redid it. I prefer to just cherish the classics.

Rawhead Rex.... lol The Sci-Fi channel showed that movie a while back. That's one of the cheesiest horror movies...imo. The special effects were horrible. It reminded me of Barney on crack terrorizing people....which is funny to me.
