Stores.  I like holding the merchandise in my hand immediately upon buying. Order from the net and it takes WEEKS! Which is bad when ya got no patience and want everything now. Now! NOW! Right f**King NOW, okay?!

I've heard of Tower Records!!! is there one in NY also? I usually get my music from either the Virgin Megastore here in Sydney city or HMV city...HMV ROCK!!!
my fave store of all time, tho, is called "Utopia Records" it's been around for years and it's awesome! they've got SO much memorabelia in there and you can get virtually anything you want there, too...and it doesn't hurt that they're HUGE Kiss fans in there | |

Also, there is a Virgin and HMV too. Although the best record store I ever went to was Amoeba in Hollywood, CA.

For anything current (which is rare). Surprisingly, they have a fairly wide jazz, blues and world selection. Borders The only reason i've ever copped CDs from this place is because of a gift certificate. These mofos are WAY overpriced. Heavy Rotation - 12354 Ventura Boulevard, Studio City, CA, 91604 My primary purchasing objective is to replace vinyl i've loved and lost over the years with equivalent CDs. On days that I have serious patience to go through their Used bins, there are bargains galore there. Amazon.com I started an account there for work when they were cdnow. Convenient when all else fails. House of Oldies - 35 Carmine Street, New York, NY 10014 Over 1,000,000 vinyl records in stock. Whenever I get a chance to go to the old stomping grounds, and have time, this place gets a visit. I used to live in this joint growing up. Bought my 1st Jimi Hendrix record there (Hey Joe - 45rpm). I will occasionally accept "backup" CD copies from friends.
