For My Sister On this day in 1976, you were born i remember going to see u at Brooklyn Hospital and dad brought u up to the glass because i was too little to go inside. and u looked up at me like "hey.. are u my brother" i smiled and nicknamed you Dopey.
tho' you could not walk or talk everytime i sang to you, you would smile and make such lil noises of happiness.sadly on March 3, 1989 u were called home because i know all the times you were sick, and you got sooooo tired. you are missed everyday and i have your name on my arm. Happy Birthday my baby sister Cassandra for you are always loved and always with me Your Brother Me | |

I can relate all too well.... 
My sister wasn't my younger, she was my older...a 2nd mom to me...too many late night talks between us to mention, grounding me and guiding me...one of the very few in my life who always made me feel like I was not "alone". Her name, while not on my arm, is my daughter's middle name...she never got to meet my sister, but knows of her presence in my life and heart. And now, one of my newest best friends(Sweeny), I come to find, was born on my sister's birthday.
