I love belly dancing, I've got it going on well because it is part of my blood line and also because I did professional Hellenic dancing for over 5 years. It's a beautiful thing to be so flexible, and relating to the theory of hypnotising & mesmerising the audience with your hips through art of dance. | |

I've always wanted to do proffesional dancin! IN da meantime i shall continue bein natural entertainment for my friends  heheheheheh..No hablo espanol,no!

Hey Sweeny!
I have been belly dancing for 13 years.... it is a BLAST and perhap the BEST workout ever! I have danced with a band (touring), at festival, worked at a resturant..... it is great! I also feel very feminine when I dance- there is a lot os sensual passion that goes into it- Make sure you like your teacher though- or you will not have fun! It is a total workout- when I was dancing 3 dys a week (teaching 1 class, taking 1 class, working 1 night) for about an hour a day- my abs looked like a washboard! I was not a "wealthy" dancer- I am a size 0/2! SO---- GO FOR IT!!!!! And let me know if you want any help finding a good school or supplies.... I gotcha back! I took classes Sweeny. It's fun but if you don't have any hand/eye coordination (like me) it can be tough. You just can't get discouraged and you need to practice a lot. Unfortunately I didn't stick with it, the place where I took the classes was kinda far away and I just started doing other things.
