PrintableI donate plasma twice a week. When I first started, it used to hurt like hell if they put that fat ass needle in too deep or moved it around too much and I'd get so tense when they were about to stick me because it was gonna hurt. But after a while, I found it was much like sex. At first it's very uncomfortable to stick something someplace that hasn't had anything stuck there before, and you can be nervous about it because it doesn't feel very good. But after a while, you start to not mind the feeling, even enjoy it. Keep in mind that when I was younger I used to slice up my own skin and thought it felt good, so the fact that I equate the needle's getting stuck back into the same sore hole with good sex isn't really surprising...   I reject your reality and substitute my own.

Try having a baby....you get the pleasure of the most excruciating pain of you life. A cross between a chain saw to the crotch and getting hit by a bus. While you're dealing with that a man with a 6 inch needle tells you not to move while he sticks it in your spine.
However, the drugs that are dispensed makes you want to deeply tongue kiss the man with the six inch needle and give him the child that you're bringing into the world.   God bless everyone. NO exceptions. | |

AND as far as the needles go...I have allergy shots twice a week and sometimes I can't even feel it and others I have pain and bruises for days. It depends on the nurse.  | |

I like needles.
It's true. I enjoy donating blood, I don't mind getting injections. . . I draw blood for my job, and I totally love it. Nothing so satisfying as the spurt of blood hitting the inside of the syringe when you first hit the vein. Am I strange?  | |

Needles hurt! I had one in my toe, and the bottom of my foot.. Talk about pain..
