Do you date just for the hell of it?

I'm not talking about to get someone into bed, just going out with someone out of sheer boredom.

Do you date like this, or do you date specifically for the purpose of finding a relationship/mate/spouse?

dating is for the birds...

I like clubbin, dancin, drinkin, swappin saliva and to top it off as my ex told me once after hot sweaty sex, leaving my DNA on her satin sheets !!!

yeah, sometimes I will string a guy along just because I have nobody better to pursue. Like last year, I wasn't too impressed by anyone in particular, and there was a weird French guy who had the hots for me so I led him on. He thought we were going to get serious even though we never did ANYTHING. Then my current boyfriend came along - who I liked a lot better - and since he was totally worth my time and energy, I gave the French guy the boot. hehehe

I'll never "date"...it's a waste of time. And I can find a million ways to eleviate boredom without dating...

If a relationship's gonna happen, it's gonna happen whether I ask them out on a date or just get to know them...in fact, it's more likely to happen if I skip the dating route and just talk to them whenever the chance is there. That way, the first "date" will in reality already be the first steps in turning a friendship/attraction/connection into something more... nod

Yes, I've started to date 'for the hell of it' more and just fel generally more relaxed as a person. By dating and flirting it could lead to a life-changing romance. Even if it doesn't it makes me feel better and motivates me to go after what I want. A study at Harvard University found that looking at someone or something you find attractive activates a pleasure centre in the brain usually triggered only by food, drugs and money. So who am I to argue!

Interesting. Depending on the day, I am prone to take all of the approaches listed here. Just curious.
