For those of you who don't know, I am about to graduate with my bachelors in Social Work.

This whole week I've been working at my job all day and working on my FINAL paper all night. Seriously, I come home and go straight to my computer and type till my fingers fall off. Anywho, I have about 40 hours till I have to leave for class with this final assignment in hand. It's this 15 page paper and I'm currently on the 12th page. So, I'm getting DAMN close. (of course I still will have to spend tomorrow nite and saturday morning revising it and polishing it, but whatevs)

Anyways so I'm sitting up here goin mad except for my occasional org breaks and my hunny walks into my study and hands me a plate saying "I thought you needed this"

it's a plate covered with fresh banana and strawberry slices and YUMMMMMY raspberries.

What a good kitty, huh? Such a simple thing but it totally made me smile and reminded me that I can do this and it will soon be over.

Simple acts of kindness? I brought along a co-worker to the Prince show and aftershow on Friday and yesterday he walked up to me at work with a gift pack of Gaultier Classique perfume! I've been wearing it for years and he asked me about it when we were in the car and it turns out his boyfriends a perfume rep or something. Anyway its a whole bottle of the actual purfume (not just the toilet water which is cheaper) 2 sample sizes of the perfume (for my purse) and 2 sample sizes of the scented lotion. It TOTALLY made my day.

My wife is working locally this week (for those who don't know me, this is a rare occasion, as she usually works out of the suitcase M - F) and when I came home, she had a nice dinner served.





Yeah... little things like that make life that much nicer.

Nice little things people have done for me. . .uhhhmmm. . .my husband got me an invite to the google mail thingie. . .and. . .eh. . .that's about it. Haven't had the best few days here.

Two months after I'd officially started dating my boyfriend (yep, GollyJeepers), Valentine's Day came. I don't think I got him anything. But he led me into his bedroom and there up on top of his bunk bed was a pile of gifts for me, just covering the bed. A teddy bear, a red rose, a whole bouquet of orange lilies and other flowers he'd heard me saying I liked, and a cute tin of chocolates. It was amazing. It was the first time anyone had ever given me flowers, and it was the biggest and coolest Valentine's gift I've ever gotten. He can be so sweet when he wants to be.

The really great part comes a while (for me, months) after graduation, when one day you realize that you are just hanging out doing nothing, reading a book for fun, or otherwise relaxing and you don't feel that sense of guilt and panic because of the reading/writing/schoolwork you should be doing. Oh. . .it's so damn good.
