Today is the 100th anniversary of James Joyce's first hand-job , graciously given to him by Nora Barnacle. Of course, there are those who would dismiss the hand-job theory and say it was in fact his first date with Ms. Barnacle.
Whichever you care to believe, the day had quite an impact on Joyce, causing him to immortalise it in Ulysses, which recounts the actions of the two main characters Stephen Dedalus and Leopold Bloom on that day, 16th June 1904.

Dublin has gone blooming mad! I just went out for lunch and I thought I'd stepped out into the wrong century - so many people wandering around in 1900's clothing - and in this weather too!

I had a copy of Joyce's stories, but it got stolen by some drunks in Dublin.

I think it was the curse of the tomb I invaded out by Galway.

If any of youall know anything about Joyce, the best way to celebrate this occasion is to get nice & tight on the of your choice. And speak Italian!
