Why does Wal Mart sell only edited, clean version CD's, yet they sell "R" rated DVD's?

I don't get that.

I hate Wal Mart- Yuck!

Wal Mart didn't carry "Lovesexy" back in the day because of the album cover. They said they would carry it if Prince changed the cover needless to say "Lovesexy" was never stock at Wal Mart.

you can get a cheap air conditioner there.

wal-mart can eat a fat one--thankfully there isn't one nearby me.

They seem 2 live by double standards 2 me!!

They wont stock risque, sexually explicit CDs, so they seem holier than thou, yet they are brought over the coals over employing illegal aliens!!!!

It seems as though they pick and choose what ethics and morals 2 live by to me!!!

I don't know whats worse, WalMart or the people that shop there...

The couple of bucks it may save you now and then isn't worth the damage those stores cause to communities. Their prices really aren't all that great anyway, if you look around you can find the same deals at places like Best Buy and KMart.

The WalMarts in my area are a white trash mecca.

Walmart is an amazing place for passive anthropolgy. Such a diverse group of people and cultures gather at this one place that, if America really is the great melting pot, then Walmart is definately the crucible they were referring to. Where else can you see the white trash mingle with the rich, slutty colege girls shop along side elderly people with one foot in the grave, thugs from the hood parouse the isles with redneck truckers. Not to mention the vast array of Arabs, Amish, Hindus, Asians, and so many others I haven't even discovered yet! I go to Walmart for 2 things, to shop and to look at people. Walmart is an extraordinary place!

Unfortunately these Wal-Mart like things are beginning to pop up in Europe. I think most people are scared of them! Luckily they're generally outside the city about 15-20 miles so you don't have to see them unless you're going down a highway or autobahn. Scary stuff!
