The couple of bucks it may save you now and then isn't worth the damage those stores cause to communities. Their prices really aren't all that great anyway, if you look around you can find the same deals at places like Best Buy and KMart. The WalMarts in my area are a white trash mecca. In my town, the Wal-Marts are upscale and the Kmart is the trashy place.  NCC2012... your local Trekkie. =/\=

where i am, there's not really a wal-mart nearby. we have a coupla targets, but i only go there every now and then when someone is going and wants me to go with 'em. we used to have a bunch of k-marts, but they closed a bunch of 'em down. really, if i need cheep department store stuff, i shop at the sears on state street or if it's electronic i'll go to beast buy. for some reason, wal-mart won't open stores in big metropolitan areas, and for some other reason, i refuse to live anywhere but big metropolitan areas, so screw 'em. | |

I much prefer SuperTarget. Unfortunately, they aren't open 24 hours, so sometimes I have to venture into the evil empire of Wal-Mart. There also isn't anything else near my job, so its often the only place I can go to get Advil and things like that on my lunch break.
I still refuse to buy music from them! Or guns!!! (okay, I don't buy guns, but I'm just sayin'!)

Not to mention the vast array of Arabs, Amish, Hindus, Asians, and so many others I haven't even discovered yet! I go to Walmart for 2 things, to shop and to look at people. Walmart is an extraordinary place!
